Dada is one of those bands that hits you with excellent musicianship and catchy as hell lyrics. I discovered these guys back in the mid nineties and have been a fan ever since. Sometimes great, even amazing bands fall through the cracks of our collective musical consciousness, Dada is one of these bands..If you dont know you should take a moment and listen. This is a Great band that deserves far more recognition than they have received.
DaDa is my all time favorite band! I love the way they harmonize! Most under-rated band of our era! I had the opportunity of meeting them in Denver back in 1996 - they are the nicest guys! And let me have my picture taken with them :)
Great stuff. The drummer often seems totally unaware of the great musical jokes going on. I think his name is Dewey Martin. The end is rockin in the real world played backwards by Neil Young by George Martin (no relation).
What a great band! This CD is one of my favs from the 90's, as is their first release "Puzzle". I wish they had seen more success, and I've often wondered if their growth wasn't hurt by that "Dizz Knee Land" song, which seemed to relegate them to "gimmick band" in the minds of so many.
I love this song, but this vid is not good-- a rip-off Pearl Jam's "Jeremy" video in both content and feel. I doubt the band had much to do with it -- I blame the video producer.
I would like to first and foremost say that dada is and will always be a favorite band of mine forever. It's unfortunate that this is the only decent video they have on youtube besides the one with the guy with the wig on. The album that proceeded this was all time best. Buy the album before this, hope they get in on youtube and give us some real classic stuff, and let's jam to dim, here today gone tomorrow...and forget about it's all I am! Hey I used to hide my camels in a paper bag too...
My dad heard this band on the radio and bought Puzzle in "92" and I was born later that year.
I have literally listened to this band since my birth I really have a weird connection to this band, till this day it is the only thing to cheer me up when i'm sad or depressed.
since then seen the band 6 times and met them all really good guys. wish they had a video for " who you are"
i vaguely remember this song playing on the radio here in Australia back in the early to mid 90's. i liked it, it really should be brought out on guitar hero, it would be awesome!!
Great underrated band of whom I wouldn't have ever heard of had it not been for an exchange year in Minnesota. BTW, what is Trent Dilfer doing in the video at 0:24? XD
Highly under-rated band that deserves better recognition! I bought their "American Highway Flowers" CD years ago after hearing this song on the radio. The guitar solo is one of my favourites. I love how he plays a B minor lead scale (Aeolian mode) over the Bm chord, then keeps playing the same scale over a D major chord (the relative major to B minor) so the lead scale effectiveley takes on a major feel (Ionian mode) all of a sudden in the middle of the solo. Apologies to non-guitarists...
Once a day Kelly Slater tell me: "hear this band, hear these sound and your life will be changed"!!! He was wright!!! I'm other people after i heard for the first time this sound! I love this band!!!
one of the my favorite 3 piece bands rush,DADA, santers, tank, triumph, police, hell one of my favorite bands period. it's a shame radio ignores them,
Seen them live at a club in Dallas back in '96 or '97...they rocked the house...never heard a band sound that good live before (or since)...especially the percussions, the drummer was on fire that night.
I've heard them live twice, and they truly rock whatever venue they play. Loved their first two albums, wasn't crazy about the third.

These guys can do it all.
This song, grinding out, then go to "Timothy,' "Dorina,' and the forever famous "
"Dizz Knee land."
These guys should have been playing Wembly, or any other venue compared by size, from the time of their first CD.
Peace.

The guitar towards the end seems influenced by Neil Young.

dada was at the top of the heap in the early nineties, but sadly material at this level of quality doesn't appeal to the pablum of the masses...

Love this band! Lol, the first 18 seconds of the video made me think "WTF, that's the song Timmy from Puzzle!"
Wait, that song was called "Timmy" right? *confusion*
