not bad not bad at all. its a little rough around the edges but its still pretty good, it has room for improvement. ive been proficient with inventor (and autocad) for nearly 4 years now, and id probably have difficulty trying to make a pistol that can compete with that.

Functionally, a couple things are off. The pistol fires an entire cartridge. In a real firearm, only the pink tip of the round (bullet) would be fired, while the brass part (shell casing) would be ejected. An airsoft gun would have a 6mm pellet in lieu of a bullet. Also, since the slide is virtually hollow, there is nothing to push the round from the magazine to the barrel. If you disassemble your pistol to see what it looks like, I'm sure you can make an outstanding animation.

Id rather have realism over getting paint everywhere and feeling it for like 10 seconds more. Once i get the 190 spring for my gun ill be shooting 575-600fps. Pretty sure that will hurt waY more then paint ball.

Ya, just takes some pratice. Also helps to model after a set of images. Like i took right, top and back, and orthographic pics of the gun and then used those to model. If you just need help making the frame of the gun, you can import the pictures and then just trace it :D

I have 3ds max but i like inventor better. You can do a lot more with 3ds max, such as special effects, but inventor is more of the 3d modeling i like to do. Haven't made anything in it lately

Not bad. I spent a full 300 hours working on a steam press with an exploded iso that showed the nuts and bolts as little dots. At the end of it, i had over 1,200 parts for it... i'm not sure my professor was trying to be easy on me.

Computers at school probably couldn't take the load tho. I should really get back into inventor. great program. i have an idea for a automaric desert eagle, with a shorter barrel and silencer usable. it would have rifled barrel(octogan type) and uses the firing mechanism of kriss super-v so that it has extremely low recoil and accuracy for an automatic mini .50 cal weapon and that it fixes the problem of desert eagle not bieng able to silence, i also want it to have rubber pads for grip and part of top where you cock to make things more comfortable, can you make a vid of that and give me half cred 4 idea?

how: autopdesk inventor student verison 10. real version is like 1000 bucks. You could download Blender 3d which is free. I use that more then autodesk now. Its a great program and you can make some sick animations in it. Autodesk inventor is only for making prototypes of small objects. You could also make this is google sketchup, also free
