  • East Prussia and Pomerania is where my ancestors came from... They were liquidated by murder, gulags, and or worse raped. One of the worst shames of WW2 that will never be put into any text book.

  • thanks for posting...many never knew and our children should....

  • This is story of my ancestors. East Prussia :( I wish I had a time machine with new technology to wipe those rapists out.

  • Sad. How and why Churchill and Roosevelt ended up siding with Stalin is beyond comprehension.

  • After the war ended, 15.5 million Germans were made into refugees and about 1.5 million of them died.

  • red army memorials in berlin should be taken down, they are war criminals , end of story

  • THE "VERTREIBUNG" WAS A GENOCIDE!

  • "As an American citizen, i deeply regret that my country took part in this crime against the German people".

Professor Alfred de Zayas, scientist who classifies the "Vertreibung" as a genocide.

  • It was Churchill and Roosevelt., the two Angloamerican massmurderers, who arranged with their Dictator-friend Joseph Stalin the deportation , torture and theft of over 14 Million German family-fathers., children and mothers from their own houses and their own homelands.

At the conference in Yalta 1945, the warcriminal Churchill said: " A clean sweep will me made". What he meant was: Genocide.

Not Russia, but America and Britain are the main guilty parties of this crime against humanity.

  • I learned until I was older that majority of my ancestors on dad side died in East Prussia. I started to look more into my ancestral past and found out my last name was prominent in Pomerania and East Prussia. It was either not known or not talked about by my parents or grandparents. I'm more open to learning things and not shocked or scared. I like learning about the past in which majority of people will stay away from. A sad story in which majority of people will not pay attention to.

  • We should do everything to prevent war..it makes animals out of ordinary people.

  • And the fact that red army memorials still stand in Berlin is just beyond surreal, they should take them down and put up a memorial for all those poor women who where raped by these beasts

  • the stalin is a murderer of thousands of people who lost their lives under his fucking rule, and he should be hanged from his fucking tomb....

  • but still to this day I have never heard any allies or russians apologizing for the rapes of millions of german women.in deed i have seen many interviews with russian soldiers bragging about what they did to german women.maybe a less political future with no agenda or bias will set the records straight

  • People often forget that not only the Russians, but America and the British Empire are guilty of this monstrous crime, too.

Churchil and Roosevelt willingly accepted Stalin's demands at Yalta 1945 and at the Potsdam Conference 1945, too, when he could have easily said "NO" to Stalin.

But Churchill, the British slaughterer of Dresden, not only accepted the communist Genocide , he even promoted it in the House of Commons in 1944. Churchill wanted as many Germans to be murdered as possible!

  • we had the same happen to our family, it is sad to think that what was said in the war propaganda of the Russians should they enter germany be came painfully apparent to millions of german civilians with no guilt of their own who were killed, hunted and raped after the surrender. sadder still is that every german soldier no matter what rank or position have apologized for fighting for their country and the bad things committed by her,

  • Eine schwer zu ertragende Dokumentation, was man den Menschen damals angetan hat ist schon unbeschreiblich.

  • Thank you for your videos!

  • Thank you for posting this video.

My grandmother came from East Prussia and never speaks of her experiences as a child. It is only now that I am learning what it must have been like for her and her family to flee from East Prussia in 1945. My grandmother and one of her sisters were the only family to survive.

I hope you will post Part 2 of "Germany '45 The Other Story: East Prussia" very soon.

    Vielen Dank! :-)

  • @eve18kc Hello, I am sorry for the horrible experiences your grandmother must have gone through. Like you I didnt know how horrible this period was until a few months ago and I think the world should know what happened to Germans in the east. That is also why I put this video up with subtitles. Everyone is always pointing their fingers to Germans as what they did in the WW2 but they have no idea what happened to Germans themselves. I try to upload part 2 soon.

  • @eve18kc My grandmother too was from East Prussia and was fortunate for her entire family (except her brothers) to have escaped the Red Army. They left their farmhouse on New Year's eve in 1944 and arrived in Bremen Easter 1945. It's been about a year now since we all learnt about her story. I only wish that more people will learn about the people of East Prussia in '45 and remember them too.
