  • Most women in this movie are so amazingly beautiful! An original beauty with ... a sort of mystical radiance, so feminine and delicate yet strong and powerful ... perfect as women of the Old Ways!

The magick in this movie is also so realistic and close to real life magick - so different from what is usually shown in movies. This has been instructed perfectly! How has magick ever becomed something dark and evil? It is beautiful! The connection between human and nature, the Spirit in us all!

  • love this movie

  • what language are the subtitles in?

  • @AmieS1995 is portuguese

  • the way it was all explained in the book was so much better.

  • does anyone know if we can buy the book online?

i would love to read it

  • @EnnemiesForever11 I'm not sure if its still in print. I got mine from my local second hand book store.

  • Its Marcus!!!!!!!!!

  • In the old days this is called a tele one you can see and here. They tried to give this skill to everyone with telephones and Televisions. I believe that it is like a past life. A lot of people are now writing past lives in fictional novels. Cool.

  • This is old fashioned time travel. I love this show it is still one of my favorite movies. She knows warns him and he has the ability to listen. (would that he should check out of body as well). Grace

  • i love this movie but the acting is awful. only adult morgaine holds it together or it could have been a big joke. but i love it! love it!

  • i'm an arthurian legend nut; but who the hell is the king at the table?

  • I love it when she stands up to him when he's about to strike her!

  • ok im on my dads account and im a young follower of the goddess, plzz dont judge me harshly cause of my religion im only 11 so could ya tell me the books name plzzzzzzz

  • @scottyblsu sorry i dont know the books name but im also a new follower and i dont get judged!!!!!

  • @scottyblsu The books are of the same name as the movie, the mists of avalon.

  • this film was not in the mind of marion.

and if you read the book you will see why. the same thing happens to earthsea and neverending story.

only lord of the rings has the same spirit as you can feel it in the books.

this was a masterpiece and im sure that there must pass a lot of time

to see something like that again.

  • @abergeh I agree with you about the only thing the book and the movie have in common is the title

  • I definitely like this Uther a lot more than the one from Excalibur

  • Where are parts 3, 4, and 5??

  • @cottonhollow1 Look on the right side. They are on the suggestions column :-)

  • @cottonhollow1 on the side bar have a look!

  • Uther reminds me of Boromir....kinda.

  • @WindRider182 BLASPHEMYYYYYYYY D8 Boromir is looking 99999999999x better than him D:

  • @PanthereMauV

lol. i agree. but still. :D

  • @WindRider182 Well, yeah. He does look like a sexy bastard :3

  • @PanthereMauV

yeah..but to tell you the truth. i think that i would take Boromir over Uther and Theodred over either one of them. :D im not into immortals.

  • to anyone who read the book- does this movie follow it very well?

  • @pianissimo5 screenplays rarely tend to be true to the books im very sorry to say- despite having extensive education in this field, I'm still at a loss to explain why some drastic changes are made in transferring novel to screenplay

  • The first movie i ever saw that had to do with the legends associated with Arthur was the hallmark movie Merlin with all those big time actors. long movie but i fell in love with it

  • Vote up if you saw "King Arthur" starring Clive Owen, Kiera Knightley, and Ioan Gruffudd.

  • @HistoryLover1550 Yes, and I like it a whole lot better than this movie.

  • @rangerbobcat Agreed!

  • I checked the book out from my high school library once, I was really getting into it yet had to return it suddenly. Im eager to start it again, I fell in love with it.

  • This complete rubbish, not Arthur and his stories at all-

  • I've never really voiced it until now, but every time I watch this movie it feels as though my life makes sense...The last time I watched it I literally "heard" an inner voice saying, "This belief system is for you", and I had a really restful sleep that night after weeks of insomnia.

I know that sounds really weird but I've no other way to describe it.

  • Makes me want to astral project! I too was spell bound!

  • is that kind stephen from pillars of the earth!?!?!?

  • @JennaGwenna Yup

  • @JennaGwenna Omg yes it is! He plays uther's captain.

  • guys its MARKOS FROM UNDERWORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great seduction confirmation scene - beautifully done...... irresistable! divine love ... xx

  • i remeber when i first saw this.....i was 13 years old and was spell bound

  • igraine is not as pretty in the movie as the book said she was. also, i wish for once they would make my favorite movies like 6 hours long so that the stories can be accurately told

  • igraine is not as pretty in the movie as the book said she was. also, i wish for once they would make my favorite movies like 6 hours long so that the stories can be accurately told

  • igraine is not as pretty in the movie as the book said she was

  • I read the book so it's very nice to see the movie now :)

  • The movie definately isn't perfect, but it is a decent representation of the book, in my opinion. It would have been difficult to cram the whole book into a two hour movie. It's hard to do that with any book, but The Mists of Avalon is massive! I think the key is to look at them as separate entities, and enjoy the movie for what it is.

  • a movie of great spiritual power;kid Morgaine is delicious;best film about Arthur.

  • Igraine does not looks like 19. Looks like 30.

Uther is more older I imagined. I liked the choice for Morgaine.

The movie is fast, but they can''t tell four books easily.

  • Thanks so much for uploading my favorite version about the legend of King Arthur....You rock!

  • wow this is almost word for word! Wonderful! I love when movie's do this

  • I remember watching this when I was 11, I was really into it but my mom wouldn't let me watch any of the weird sex scenes that come later.

  • @Garboth hahaa!

    ;D

    yeah

i watched it yesterday and same with my mom eveb do me 12

  • Morgause is supposed to be Morgan's sister...cause she and arthur have a son together because Morgan hates arthur...

  • @Astrathiul Morgause is supposed to be Igraines sister and Morgaines aunt

  • I've read the book too, but even though they've run off with parts of it for creative license its still a good movie and we've got to remember the limitations of Hollywood. It has to appeal to the rest of the public as well, not just us lowly bookworms. Lol.

  • I love the book. I have read it over and over probably a hundred times..))

But I don't like the movie. It is just a castrated version of the book. It doesn't take you no more further than the obvious. It's very disapointing - but not more than with other great books, that they decided to make movies of.

  • ginamariedibella the subtitles are portuguese

  • what is the subtitles? Its not spanish.

  • I believe it may be Portugese. ]sp]

  • It's Portuguese!!

  • 5:19 and on reminds me of the messenger scene in 300.

  • I like the movie, because they mainly sticked to the book. But I think they made Igraine and Morgause way to old- I mean Igraine is supposed to be 19 !

  • its hard to belive but this book inspired my views on religeon

  • really? how?

  • @freakazoid2442 Actually mine too, at least to some degree. It just felt true to me, All God's are One God

  • @freakazoid2442 why?

  • @freakazoid2442 Yeah same hehe

  • @freakazoid2442 i know right. I inspired my views too.

  • @freakazoid2442

Me too, but I'm curious, what do you exactly believe in? If you're not comfortable on here, you can message me please.

  • @freakazoid2442

    mine too

    sory my english isn´t good

  • @freakazoid2442 I have always been Pagan/Wiccan. But this book inspired myself to higher belief in the Goddess. The movie missed the mark alot but it is okay in some parts

  • @MrTerpea Paganism and Wicca are two totally different things. >.<

  • @lorelome yes I happen to know that Pagan and Wiccan are two different things I raised by a Wiccan Mother and A Wiccan Father, but there are many people out there who do not know the difference and made that "slash" mark just to cut down on confusion not to cause confusion. One thing the Great Mother tells us speak to the people not at the people. Blessed Be and Merry Meet(hopefully one day) LOL my face book is under Terry Peace would love to talk more to you. Friend me there.

  • wow he really beatrayed her loyalty just like in mordred's lullaby

  • i love this movie

  • I've never heard of this movie before, but it's quite good! Thanks for uploading!

  • and why all the characters are 10 years too old? i do not understand -.-.

  • Well, they couldn't always be to the right ages.

But I do agree. Especially Morgaina. She is wayyyy to old.

  • @amarok79 who says theyre ten years to old? they all look like theyre in the early 30's which is the correct ages

  • @amarok79 people aged much faster in this time then they do now.

  • @amarok79 Maybe, because in that times ... everyone looks older then they where ... you know .. the life wasn't easier that time. So its ... more ... real?

  • He is from Underworld: Evolution

  • this already differs from the book, wasn't Gorlois named the successor in the book? Or does my memory fail me?

  • do you know where can i find the book????

  • try a used book store or the internet, i found my copy totally by accident.

  • in the book it says that Uther was named sucessor, and Gorlois says he has no want to be king.

  • ah, i remember now i think.

  • No, Uther of Pendragon was named successor.

  • Can I ask what the subtitle language is? I think portugal/brazilian?

  • yes...it's portuguese

  • Eu amo este filme. :D

  • that guy who plays the messenger of uther looks a lot like the same guy who plays lucian in underworld.

  • Comment removed

  • it is the same guy lol

  • Tony Curran doesn't play lucian, he is marcus in underworld evolution.

  • oh ok thought he looked familiar

  • The book is almost always better than the movie, but I think this is a pretty good production. Definitely worth watching.

  • the book is better.

  • so is your mother

  • that doesn't make sense.

  • that's not nice....*sniffle* and it still doesn't make sense!

  • they try to say story isnt real its very real... british coat has bear foot representing arthur; and the pendragon means head dragon, these new age description of annunaki, and biblical perspective we could say WOW bcuz of implications

  • so is your mother

  • Well, it certainly is a different reading of the tales of King Aurthur!

And I must say that I'm not fond of the way that Aurthur is portrayed later in the story.

  • It IS told from Morgaine's POV. She doesn't exactly think highly of him near the end. I mean, he betrayed Avalon. Morgaine isn't going to be happy about that, is she? But at the very end, she stays with him as he dies.

  • yees, she always loved her brother. and she knewed that the betrayal was mainly the fault of his wife + the strong influence of the christians.. in his heart he never left avalon behind. he just wanted to have peace, and because of that, he had to act like a christian king.

  • yeah the book is so much better
