  • when you say "its homeopathic" and not to touch it, why is that?

  • @pongman Yumm!

  • Chicken soup! Brown U. Medical School did a research study and found chicken soup actually works faster than anything else. BTW, colds are caused by a virus.

  • i use ossi too... i just cal it the ossi kind of like the "ozzy" cause its awesome! :O it works like a charm against the virus cold... :)

  • and that is why 1+1=2!

  • great vid! i also use holistic for myself and if i had kids i would use it as well.

  • my son had febrile seizures when he was three months. It is scary. I had to do cpr on him. The oral medication wasn't doing him any good because he was throwing up all night. His temp went up to 103 F. He respiratory arrested and turned blue. Ended at Boston Childrens and NICU for three weeks. The problem was getting the Tylenol to work. The answer Tylenol suppositories. He's fine and speaks fluently in four languages.

  • @pongman My 2 year old nephew has these seizures as well, although he didnt have his first until he was one! Scariest thing I have ever seen!!! But suppositories DO work wonders (as long as the little one isnt pooping a ton!)

  • @ashliee001 Sorry he has to go through that!

  • @ashliee001 wow i never knew that young kids could have seizures? :O couldn't bare to see it happening to anyone!

  • @WeeklyDillon Yep they sure can!!! It is terrifying, well the first few were anyway! Once you know how to deal with it it becomes less scary, however seeing someone you love go through that is never fun :(

  • If Jessica Alba and Audrina Patridge formed into one person, that person would be you haha you are GORGEOUS! ......What's your ethnicity? [anyone reading this know?]

  • @moonbeams90 Japanese and French:)

  • press 4 and 3 fast. small sis :D

  • why is everybody trippin out? these are all schedule 5 drugs, which means these are the most harmless.all over the counter meds. she is just recommending, not prescribing. also its ultimately up to the parent what goes into their child. the parent should be responsible enough to educate themselves and ask appropriate questions to the appropriate people. frankly, i dont give a crap about the meds, im here because miya is smokin hot.

  • this is like a home remedy but if you have a fever (and this is going to sound weird) but but vinegar in a bowl then dip a towel in it and put it the the kids forehead neck and chest!

  • @natoosheh0513 Wow! Tha'ts interesting!

  • it is very common that children can become allergic to oscillococcinum so just keep an eye open for any reactions.

  • i love homeopathy!! thanks for sharing miya! :)

  • If they had a "fever over 100 degrees" then you wouldn't need to worry about the child anymore, it would be buried six feet under as it would have died.

  • @JamesPlayDrum what!? lol! 100 degree fever in children in very common..

  • @MIYA lol degree is a vague measure for temperature. Some ppl work in Celcius

  • @silent4fail Yes I agree!

  • @MIYA that person probably thought you were talking about ferenhight or whatever how its spelt :P Us canadians use celcius

  • @MIYA NEVER MIND XD I MENT THE OPPOSITE XD sorry I just looked very stupid xD

  • @JamesPlayDrum You're retarded.

  • @LukeiPwn That was really mean. He just isn't used the US units of measurement. FYI, the rest of the world uses Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. Honestly, I have no idea why the US like using weird ways of measuring things. (ounces instead of milliliters, mile instead of meter, pounds instead of kilograms...) It's the only country in the world that doesn't use the metric system as it's official system of measurement. It's annoying, especially since everything is so "Americanized" these days.

  • @JamesPlayDrum I think I know why you are confused. See, Miya's from America and when she said 100 degree fever, she meant 100 degree FAHRENHEIT. I noticed that you are from the UK, which means you use Celsius right? SO yeah, 100 degree CELSIUS = basically dead, but 100 degree FAHRENHEIT = normal/high fever. I use Celsius too, where I'm from. :) But I'm used to Americans and their weird units, etc.

  • @JamesPlayDrum I think our misunderstanding was celsius vs fahrenheit here...makes sense now!

  • @JamesPlayDrum lol you dont have kids do you. kids get fevers over 100 all the time. over 104 you start killing brain cells.

  • @JamesPlayDrum LMAO! This is hilarious!!! 100 degrees is not cause for death 0.o

  • i LOVE osillococcinum!!!! it always works for my family too. will try the other'stoo--thanks!!

  • i had seizures as a child and they are not fun and are really scary.

  • @xaprilwindsx scary for the parents too, wow!

  • @MIYA yeah especially when they have never seen or even heard about them. thats why i think people should really be more educated about the matter so people know how to handle it better. especially because if the parent is scared its just gonna scare the child more, which is what happen to me. but im really glad you let people know that haveing them as a child is very common, but can be avoided if possible.

  • ur awesome :)

  • @Conroyy92 Thank you!!

  • miya i love u.....

  • @veegee84 Love you guys too!

  • 1:52 to skip the ad

  • When my wife was a kid, she suffered from fever induced seizures.

  • I didn't know u have a daughter! Or married !

  • Another really good way to help your kids with coughs at night is to rub Vick's vapor rub on the bottom of their feet and then put socks on them. I guarantee it works better than anything they would digest.

  • @doeboy1976 Yes, I've tried that, it also works great!

  • I should start taking something when when I het sick

  • I like Zicam since I started the throat spray at 1st symtomes of getting sick I feel better the next day.. I haven'y been sick all yeat.. it taste bad, but if it works I will deal with the taste

  • My sister just found out she was prego<==== sorry I don't know how to spell it the other way but I showed her ur youtube and she just subbed to u I think. Thank you for posting these she said

  • @TheSuperUber That's great! Thank you and congrats to her!

  • which of these are for babies under 1?

  • wait till u see whats under my pants.. the longest word u be sayin is "daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmm"

  • Why people hate on the way you chose to heal your child i dont know. Obviously the medicine wouldn't be on the market if they were dangerous. And there is no reason not to try these things i mean they used them for thousands of years before we had advil and vicks so whats so wrong with using them now? How she decides to heal herself and her child are her decisions, if this wasn't safe I'm sure she wouldn't do it. Stay strong Mia, the world is full of haters but I and many others love you!

  • @Rockonabby1115 "obviously the medicine wouldn't be on the market if they were dangerous," uuuum, have you ever heard of the side-effects of some of the prescription medicines? which is exactly why my mom does the "holistic" stuff, because it actually is safe. Just wanted to point that out as a big reason why people use herbal/holistic things

  • @Rockonabby1115 Thank you! I also love you guys!

  • you should do one for adults as well!!! i just got sick for the first time since middleschool (i'm 23) and i cant wait to get better!!

  • what age did you start surfing at?:)

  • I wouldn't give homeopathic to anyone, especially children.

  • @Mutafuka Really? I believe that there wouldn't be homeopathic for children out there if it wasn't tested and harmfull to them...

  • @MIYA

Well of course it's not a poison of any sort, there was (or is) some controversy going on regarding homeopathy, therefore there are some points to consider. National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine has a big article about homeopathy, here's a link, in case you need it :)

    nccam.nih.gov/health/homeopathy/

Anyway, you're doing a great job and in the end you and only know what's best for your baby :)

    Thank you for your videos!

  • You are such a cuttie pie!

  • an old version of kelsey chow

  • oh perfect, i have a cold right now. i'll try these! :) thanks miya! :)

  • she said numerous time to talk to your doctor first, how is her videos any different from what moms normally recommend one another. seriously if you don't like it then don't do it.

  • @elihernandez89 I appreciate your comment!

  • *watches with volume down*

  • sexy and helpful! haha

  • great video for this time of the year! thanks miya :)

  • @PinkkSkittle You're welcome!

  • This time of year its good to up your vitamin C intake as well, its good for the immunity system. I usually start taking vitamin C supplements in October through November and also increase my orange juice intake. When taking vitamin C supplements, be sure to drink a full glass of water with it. The body absorbs vitamin C much better when you have good hydration. I've been doing this for over 10 years and haven't had anything stronger then the common cold.

  • @pringals Yes! I also do that! Didn't know about the extra water intake though, thanks for the tip!

  • My kid was sick, but he ate some oranges and was k.

  • yo if your kid has a cold feed it some oranges

  • @retror0b0t lol "feed it"

  • Miya, don't know how you deal with the comments, but I hope you hang tough. Your awesome!

  • @l6j8b32 Thank you so much! Everyone has an opinion, especially on YouTube. I respect theirs and hope they can respect mine too :)

  • Miya is gorgeous 4real

  • whats holistic

  • @TheKMills11 In essence, little and often.

  • There's nothing wrong with her sharing what has worked for her regarding a common cold. The person suggesting that self medication should NEVER be done is an unrealistic imbecile. For the vast majority of us, we don't head to the doctor after every sniffle.

  • @antoniorossiz thank you:)

  • @antoniorossiz self medication is fine but should be consulted with a doctor. example if i prescribe antibiotics for UTI i explain to my patient the proper way to use it, the risks, what to do in case of emergency etc Then with that info the patient can use it the next time... safety responsibility and being ethical isn´t idiocy. lll give a better example a friend of mine was recommended to use valerinan to sleep by another friend 3 weeks later she almost died from GI bleeding- nice huh?

  • Great tips Miya! :)

  • guys, shes talking about medicine for colds, not for curing cancer. Theres very little risk in trying the things she has suggested and even told you if you are unsure to check with your family doctor.

  • @Hossified it is irresponsable. If a kid suffers an adverse event because of this then who is going to be the one responsable. You will probably say the parent but look at the amount of people in the comments already taking her non profesional empirical advice. Example: drug interaction of active principles. The first thing as a doctor that one learns in pharmacology is anything is toxic (Paracelsus) (even water and i´ve seen people die from water look up TUR syndrome/pontine myelinolysis etc)

  • @ToniSkit Parents always help each other out and discuss with each other what has worked for them. That's what I'm doing here for my parent viewers. If I take one's advice, I always do my own reseach and read the labels before using any recommended product, and I can garantee you that my parent viewers will do the same for the sake of their children's health. That's why I always tell my viewers to check with their doctors first.

  • Great tips Miya!

  • @ToniSkit I respect your opinion. As a parent, I'm always looking for new remedies and these are the ones that work for my daughter. That's why I clearly mention that these may work for you or it may not and to always check with your doctor first. The main reason I like YouTube is because people get to share their personal experience and openly discuss their opinion and thoughts!

  • You're not a pead, you're not a doctor, but you're still suggesting medicines to the general public? Why?

I know you made this with good intentions, but self medication should NEVER be done.

  • @raz0rx would you cop on she's just helping out !

  • @raz0rx she's talking about medicine for colds, calm yo' tits

  • @raz0rx Don't agree with what you're saying at all! :/ But ofc you can have your own opinion, I can have mine and Miya can have hers :)

  • @Cassandralovesmakeup I respect your opinion but I think one should be sensitive to the fact that a child's system is very fragile and one should not medicate without consulting a doctor. Better safe than sorry.

  • @MIYA Agreed. Nice of you to share your experiences with various medicines. I'm not a parent so I cannot understand the helplessness of parents when their kids keep coming down with fever or cold. But I just felt one should take extra precaution while medicating someone as fragile as a baby, good to see you agree on that too and why wouldn't you, you're a loving parent. And did I tell you that I love your videos. You're gorgeous too. :) I hope I spelled Gorgeous right.

  • Thank you Si much Miya! My daughter is 3 years old and she is being having an horrible cold for the past 2 months and we have try everything to make her feel better but there is not result of course with her doctor! Bug u will be trying out all this product and see if it works thank again l

  • @alybeautyzone you just said your daughter is 3. Then she Cant have honey you stupid fuck. dont go to youtube when your kid is sick.

  • @itsCONTROVERSY Honey should not be given to kids under 1 year of age..she said so in the video. Three year olds it should not be a problem. Who is stupid now.

  • @rdidri I said that kids UNDER 1 year old shoudn't have honey, 3 years old is ok!!!

  • @MIYA I agreed with you! I hope you meant this for the comment above mine by "itsCONTROVERSY."

  • @itsCONTROVERSY excuse me but if you re not a parent i think you shouldn't not be talking. My daughter doctor allowed her to have honey since she was 2 and Miya said in the video that is kid that are under 1. So I can really tell that you dont have any experience but now I hope that you learn something new have a good day and

    God bless you

  • @alybeautyzone All pediatricians have different opinion about honey, peanut butter, cow's milk, formula, nuts wheat, fish...Some are more conservative than others.I must say that most of my friends with babies avoided honey until 1 year old not 2.

  • @alybeautyzone I am a parent. I actually have 67 kids. all doctors. they are healthy as shit, know why? Cause youtube wasnt around for medical advise back then. and they stayed away from honey. btw I could have sworn miya said no honey before 8 or something. I think she re-edited this. lol

  • @alybeautyzone Let me know how it works for her! Good luck!

  • She has a daughter?

    Mind is blown.

  • I want to see a 'MAMA MIYA talks DIRTY!' reeeow!

  • 0.0000000001% actually come to listen to what she says. (not me)

  • It's a common misconception that common colds are caused by low temperature.

  • Miya youre awesome! :D

  • @LifewithNick Thank you!
