So true, but not sad. It is a truly wonderful day, when a obedient servant meets his master in eternal glory. I am sure God looked to his servant, and said "well done my good an faithful servant". so rejoice for a brother in the faith did what was asked of him, and rejoice for you too have a wonderful savior who is there for you, when the tough times and persecution are upon you (they will come you can count on it)
The funny part isn't John being beheaded the funny part is that many people believe that if that they follow God then everything will just be peachy. This is funny because the people who would argue the that when they follow God life is going to be gravy. He just uses John as an example,to show that that argument that many people believe is not true. Its like egg on their faces when it is explained that is where the humor is.
I read the bible for the first time a few years ago. When I got to the part when John the Baptist was beheaded, I cried. Considering the way he talks about it at 1:37, I don't think this part of the bible hit him the same way it hit me. Not a funny part of the bible.
@ZepShepley Short answer: it's funny. Long answer: what he is saying is an ironic truth, the God who loves you could send you into death (which is good for the believer) .
plus it goes counter to what the prosperity people are talking about. you would never hear them preach like this.
Although he does make reference to Osteen often, there's no reason to think Chandler's taking a shot at him in this video. He's taking a shot at the clowns who teach prosperity. Osteen happens to be one of them:)
John the Baptist got his head cut off because of a stripper; I never really thought of it that way... thinking along these lines really intensifies Chandler's point.
This guy is awesome! He sounds like Dane Cook!

So true. But in a way, it can never end badly for a Christian since in the end, we will have our reward - Jesus. :)

Yes, for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).
