I have a problem I record 15 mins of gameplay with fraps and convert it down but when I put it into Vegas pro 9.0 it plays fine so I render it but when i got to watch it after rendering there's no video
Hey When i format it into avi it really lower it size!
But when i import the lower sized file into Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 it recognies only the saudio track and not the video track. But when I play the lower sized file using windows media player it IS a video file! How come? Please help mee :(
thank you very much it worked you were extremely helpful an excellent tutorial only one question i converted a 431mb file to 32.6mb good but not as good as your 416mb to 1.56mb any explanation as to the difference in results
@CentsTwo not sure. i didnt do anything to the settings of format factory. might have something to do with your video source/quality and how format factory works with it
So I did what you said but it made the video file much worse quality when I converted it to avi. Are there any setting I need to know about to keep it 1080p?
I just wanted to take the time out to say thank you for showing me this. I was up all night trying to figure this out. Definitely favorite and liked :)
Leaving everything on default will render it with terrible quality. I'm still trying to figure out how to manually improve the quality.

@Zombieblizzed the quality will be much worse if the original video wasnt in avi.
i only convert barely 720p files so you dont notice that much of a difference.
i do not know of any settings that can make a 1080p file size smaller with no loss of quality.
