  • Oh God! You are all so hysterical!

  • umm wine people, wine is wine; you drink it if you like it drink some more and if you don't like then ummm.....Don't drink it?

  • Grant is GOD.

Withnail and I has to be one of the greatest films ever made!

  • americans just dont get E. Grants humout thats all.

  • @Crendle1 oh YES we certainly sometimes DO! lol

  • What an idiot !! Bet he knows f all about PROPER wines ?

  • @teazle2 He's really funny. So as I am American, and I was making friends watch Posh Nosh last night and the generally feelinf was, was itn't this on PBS?

  • a 1 star for censoring "tits" :P

  • "And on the finish...that characteristic hint of petrol..." lol I love Simon!

  • I know this is a silly question... but i was just wondering why its called posh nosh.

    anyone know?

  • Posh = snobby, pretentious

Nosh = working class slang for food.

So you have a deliberate ironic juxtaposition (= putting two words together that don't really go) - plus it's catchy and it rhymes.

  • nosh is actually a yiddishim (Yiddish= German(ic) dialect spoken by European Yews). It stems from German "naschen", meaning: Having something small and sweet (e.g. for dessert) or nibbling at something like cookie dough.

  • haha "YEWS"...lol

  • My god, we have wine snobs criticising the shape of bottle or the way the glass is held. Don't you realise this programme takes the piss out of you people?

  • "What? Yes."

  • lol, funny stuff

  • lol... this guy doesn't even hold the wine glass properly - a giveway that he doen't know much about wine

  • I really REALLY hope that you took this seriously, because it would be the only thing funnier than Posh Nosh

  • Richard is tea total in real life - he is allergic to alcohol.

  • Umm, that's part of the joke. Also if you know much about wine you'll recognise that as a Bordeaux bottle - German Riesling bottles are invariably taller and thinner.

  • Yes, but don't Bordeaux bottles have a crimped carbundulum, traditionally, to allow greater frimerity in the long tannins? My last one did.

  • shut the fuck up you complete arse

  • @meanvince briilliant XD

  • @scarabus1 Yeah ... I don't think you're right about it being a Bordeaux.

  • "Like school boys . . . "

  • Freshly mowed grass XD Simon kills me =P I adoooore Posh Nosh!

  • Ha ha, I love Posh Nosh and I loved when he did the alcohol sampling! 'Food without wine. What's that? It's absurd.' XD
