I think the internet has been a big reason for the change in attitude of people towards ufo phenominum. If this is true, it means one of three things: either sentient beings are as common in our galaxy as they are in Star Trek, faster than light travel is possible to an absurd degree (and relatively simple if these aliens are primitive enough to still use their natural bodies), or by some absurd coincidence there is an alien race in Proxima Centauri. I'd love to believe him and mostly do. Though, the Dr's response to the host's bewilderment is odd. He doesn't respond in a way you'd think. He stays serious and does not acknowledge the man's bewilderment like a normal person. He instead stays serious and rather odd like a crazy person telling a story. That or he just doesn't want to make it up as a big joke or make it not serious. Hard to say.

Yes there are other 'lifeforms' out there on other planets for sure but I dont personally believe they have ever visited Earth. A. Why Would they want to? B. The distance is just toooooo far!! We've only travelled as far as the moon. Our nearest star is over 4 light years away!! It's obvious we'll never as a human race get any further than Mars.. why would WE want to? It turns out that "believers" in one myth tend to believe in the whole array - see the skeptic's Dictionary. Any personality prone to mental weakness or prone to believing any old guff would not get as far as the moon, believe_you_me. When a man like this says these things, you listen and accept his word. First let me say that I know Edgar personally. He met with witnesses to the 1947 Roswell incident while on their death beds, and they all told him it was an ET craft not a Mogul balloon as the Air Force asserts.
Creten: Why would they need to land and mingle with us? We are a destructive species. All they might need/want to do is come here to study our planet and possibly mingle with the 'elite'. Why make themselves known? What would they have to gain from doing so?

Shephard & Mitchell both see a ufo & discuss it between each other & whether its worth reporting it back and they decide its not. This conversation was caught on camera between them on the moon. He use to live is Roswell, New Mexico. The best source for information on Roswell is Philip Corso. That man is a hero.

I think the internet has been a big reason for the change in attitude of people towards ufo phenominum. Now anywhere in the world any joe blow can click on youtube and watch hundreds of ufo footage/interviews for hours. Back in preinternet you had to wait for something on tv or radio or try to search out books. Now information is there with a click of a button for anyone curious.

Hmm. Here is a former astronaut taking crash-retrieval and back-engineering seriously. Yet all good UFO investigators and researchers know that, while the phenomenon is real enough, its nature is more subtle and bizarre than is suggested here. To talk of alien retrieval is as silly as claiming to have caught a poltergeist in a sack. Note Mitchell was 'briefed'. Can we trust the top brass? Even astronauts can be duped. My guess is that there is a 'control narrative' at work here.

Why would aliens even take an interest in us?.
We are compared to them a very primitive race who is 100's even 1000's of years behind them in terms of development, intelligence and technology, humanity is also very warlike as well and is more likely to develop weapons to kill people then to develop thing's which help and advance mankind, also humans have the flaw of being greedy, selfish, and lusting for power and control, i wouldn't bother with this race if i was an ET.
