Mermaid Melody is an anime show about a mermaid princess who saves a boy from drowning as a kid. But she gave him her pink pearl which she has to get back. So about 6 years later she goes to land to get it back. Throw in sum crazy villians, an awesome talking sidekick and other crimesinging mermaids and you got mermaid melody!

The anime is basically awesome to me. The songs are cool, the characters are hilarious, and the romance is beyond cute. I highly suggest it!
