  • This vid had me in tears, his voice makes me think of a man that lives on a mountain that everyone needs wisdom from and by all accounts kids did that with both his homes in ny and california.i love you jack you inspired me be a comic artist.

  • Wow. He looks like my Dad here.

  • jack new what the con would become

what a wonderful and humble man

    the world misses him greatly

  • long live the kings. jack kirby lives forever!

inspired me to draw superheroes, i just hope one day i create another great charachter or comic

  • love you king kirby! Thanks for a great childhood.

  • Love you Jack.

    Long live the King!

  • An absolute genius and a kind person.

  • the most amazing guy in comic book history and im sure many agree

  • an absolute gentleman...treated everyone as an equal....

  • how do I get him and rod sterlings to leave me alone at night?..kirbys cool but rod and wells...has a very "bamish sense of humor!

  • As always Jack KIrby predicts the future when he states how big the Comic-Con will eventually grow. No doubt he knew how big his creations would someday become as well.

  • Oh yeah that's so true,

These days Comic-Con International is a sardine can it's so jam packed with people,

Plus IMHO it's gotten so hollywoodish

it's scary, That's probably two of the reasons I went to The New York Comic-Con

this year plus I really wanted to meet

Joe Simon who these days mainly appears at New York Conventions and also because I got ****ed off because I could only get a

same day show at CCI last year.

    Ah well

  • fyi, if you listen to evanier, kirby predicted the hollywood takeover of the con all the way back in 72

  • Yeah I know I've read Evanier's biography on Kirby and Jack was right on target about that.

  • Classy guy Jack Kirby! Marvel still owes him a credit and so much more. RIP Jack you are the KING!!!

  • Jack Kirby died super bowl weekend some years ago when the Steelers lost to 'somebody'...lol but I remeber more than the game that Kirby's death was broadcast during the event. An honor very few could hope to achieve in any artistic genre. he was right about comic-con and foresaw it many years earlier. Kirby will remebered as one of the greatest artists EVER in any style when we are long gone.

  • at 2:44 you can see Roz standing nearby.

  • Nicely done. Seeing and hearing Jack against that music put a lump in my throat.

  • Great to hear the King's voice again! What a wonderful man he was.

  • That was a very cool interview. The camera man did a really good job although the lighting could have been better. Do you know if he was using a steady cam on this?

  • Thanks for posting this Dogman! The world needs to see this! And I like the moody intro as well. My fav line: "Somebody might get hurt..." He was a caring king.
