2 - No, the astronauts cannot admit that there are aliens here, since they don't know of any. They might have seen strange things, but they haven't met aliens, as far as they know.

2 - Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Edgar Mitchell all say there were UFO sightings, and while UFO doesn't necessarily mean aliens, they certainly seemed to think so. Anyway I do see your point here, but again, they definitely seemed like they were leaning on the side of what they saw being alien, even if they didn't actually shake hands with one.

What? They're remaking "Capricorn One"? What about the TV movie made 5 years earlier titled "the Astronaut"? It was a story about a first manned Mars mission that went terribly wrong when the first man on Mars died due to suit malfunction but NASA kept it quiet and replaced him with a double to appear when the spacecraft returned. But his wife became suspicious. I saw it when it appeared on ABC Movie of the Week in 1972 and I thought it was better.
