I have never understand the disdain for repeated panels. They are a perfect way to show a set amount of time passing in a medium that struggles with set pacing. Time, from panel to panel, is usually relative to how fast you read. Movies "show" time by their very nature. A second of the movie is usually a second of time. Comics ... eh, not so much. I mean sure, you could put a caption "seconds later", but that stops the flow. I have always enjoyed a properly placed set of repeating panels *ducks*
Geoff Johns and Green Lantern, Ed Brubaker and Captain America, Dan Jurgens and Booster Gold, Keith Giffen and the JLI/Super Buddies. Grant Morrison and Batman, can't get any better than that.
I'mpraying Bruce Wayne never comes back, or at least not for 5-10 years. I'm not digging all the series, but my humble opinion aside, DC seems prone to sticking with character changes than Marvel. And yes, i am thinking of Hal Jordan.
I really liked Batman And Robin #6. I enjoyed the whole series so far, as well as other "new" DC titles such as Gotham City Sirens or Red Robin. DC pwnz at the moment.
Doctor Hurt was a well made villain in batman r.i.p. I thought. Any news on Bruce Wayne returning as Steve Rogers is now meant to be coming back? Please keep up the great work guys and I am glad your glasses are back in usuage by you.
Dick Grayson is wearing the cowl but Bruce Wayne is the guy who became Batman through very specific circumstances. This whole thing is like Reign of Supermen and Knightfall, and this thing of comics having their title characters replaced for publicity has been done to death.
i still wanted to Bruce Wayne to be Batman. fact is RIP some insane devil worshipers screwed him over plus Darksied did something to him. & i don't think he's coming back. Bruce Wayne is the greatest comic book character of all time. Now we have a different Batman: Dick Grayson. When Bruce Wayne comes back he'll probably play a role like he did in Batman Beyond or not.
I couldn't actually tell what happened at the end of B&R#6 - Dick walks into someplace and opens a safe and there's a Batman costume in there? Seriously, that's my take. I don't know what that's supposed to be.
Dark X-Men - add me to the 'not impressed' list, not least because it ends with the reintroduction of a character at his lamest (after a reinvention at the hands of a writer from whom I'd expect much better, rather than the earlier version that was aimless but inoffensive fun).
I meant before. He said something to the effect that B & R 7 is delayed until BN 6 is released. Something like that. I think it was an IGN interview but I couldn't find it when I just looked.
they have decent reviews which are easily summed up with number ratings. meaning that 10 minutes a week and i can see if anything i've not heard of is good

I really just hope that Capt. Britain comes back in some form...maybe a new eXcalibur series to coincide with Kitty's return.

Loved the last page in Batman & Robin. I'll be picking up the trade of Locke & Key as I can't get the comic at my local comic book shop.

I've heard great things about Brave and the Bold. With JMS writing it, I may check it out!

What ever happened to the Marvel comic "The Twelve"? The one JMS was writing, was it canceled or what?
Syretha 2 years ago

They say they will, but with JMS at DC now, it may not ever happen.

Damien getting shot 5 times bothered me. The kid is 10. I think that was a little much.
Also Bruce's body is foreshadowing to the Lazarus pit.

Maybe it was one of those "Bruce clones" from the Final Crisis tie in of Batman RIP? The ones from issue 683.
