I've been watching your videos and you really do sum up a lot of things I have been having trouble with. I was wanting to know that if soon you would post a video explaining the 7, 9, 11, and 13 chords on guitar. I notice looking at chord charts on some jazz music, that it's loaded with these chords. It would help to know how they are created.
I just started school again and I am in Jazz combos and Jazz improv. It's much different playing this stuff with a group and chord sheets then it is just watching youtube videos and jamming. I'm so scared! I've gotta rewatch all the vids on music reading too, for the single note stuff.
Nice Andrew, I had a college instructor in a Jazz improv class who was very articulate much the same way you are. He was a sax player with a Doctorate degree from North Texas State. I play guitar and unfortunately there was no good jazz instruction for guitar locally, but still fun none the less. Thanks for the generous lessons. Ill wait for another jazz lesson in the future hopefully. Thanks again.
I had the privileged of taking guitar lessons with Andrew Wasson,I have to say without a doubt, was *the* BEST thing I could have ever done. Andrew had opened up my ears and exposed me to sounds tonalities modes chords... The whole ball of wax so to speak...He leaves no stone unturned. If you are thinking of taking Guitar lessons with Andrew Wasson, you will NOT be disappointed! He will send you on a musical journey that will last a life time!
