why would you ever want to simulate a piece of shite adamis ovation????? oh i know now its for when your playing a gig and someone in the audience says hey can you make your nice guitar sound like a piece of shite
hey, i was wondering are there any boost pedals for an acoustic guitar? im just looking for a volume boost but i can seem to find a good one. and i dont really need all the effects with this one.
Seem that the whole piece is not enough heavy. When handle the pedal. All the box moving not only the pedal so less precision with the pedal I presume
yeah this unit actually is very good at modeling and getting you guitars natural sound to punch through a P.A. This guy is making it clear, he does not know how to use the unit. Surprised Zoom has not deleted this post.
@db35m C-section is when the baby isn't properly coming out of the mother, and... well you can look it up. It's basically an emergency method of getting the baby out if when giving birth it's not in the right position in the womb, among other things.
@Botdra I know what a C-Section is ... my daughter is C section Born....i asked ...why u think that was Funny...in regards to the bank on the Zoom Board
@DavidRourke15 I don't know.. i always used with battery ,and one day appears a blinking red point and don't went away ... (turn on) and NOTHING.!! PUFFFFF!!
This zoom is very usefull, economic, but very very very DELICATE .. i bought 1 years ago and now is broken . I have G2 too .. and now i use it only with batteries
Ok, if you have a crappy sounding Acoustic guitar. Buy this and it will do wonders. If you have a Martin, Taylor, Gibson or any other solid wood natural sounding guitar, why would you buy this. Its like when a those buy a 2k guitar and plug it into a Roland amp. Defeats the purpose of the natural tone you are buying the guitar for.
@syncopater999 Bro unless you speak of Piano's, Roland is falling behind when it comes to acoustic and electric amps. Plugging into a Cude defeats the purpose of buying th guitar for its natural sound. Technology has mastered getting your guitars natural tone projected though a P.A with out feedback. Fishman Aura got there first. Boss tried to make a acoustic pedal but they failed all because of Roland and COSM. The Boss unit is a disgrace.
would it be worth while to mic a pair of samson c02's add a woody sc (seymour duncan) pickup(ppl say bass is it's strong point so it would go into a DI box and become the low end on the mixer) and somehow mix all that down to mono. or just stick with the pickup and skip any kind of miking?
@DarkEyedJunko you can use both, ofcouser it will sound 100 times better if you have it plug in to an amp ( if you know how to get the best sound out of it). Direct connection to a PA will get a more clear tone.
There's a really good demo of this unit if you search for 'Zoom A2 & A2.1u Acoustic Fx Processors - Nevada Music UK'. They don't identify the patches being used, but the saemples are superb.
Really, I have on hand this pedal Zoom A2.1u (made in China), but also I have Zoom 504II (made in Japan for acustic) and comparing the quality of sounds on a concert using good amplifiers, so Zoom 504II made in Japan is much better than A2.1u.
Today almost all pedals are being manufactured in China, and I prefer 1000 times to use the old pedal made in Japan or USA.
I have a Zoom505 II which is good, but not as easy to use - although it does fit very neatly into my guitar case. I also have a stack of original Electro Harmonix boxes which, by today's standards, are a bit too noisy (the reissues are good), and I use them a lot for my own solo playing at home.
One old vinyl LPI have that I never hear menton of is the demo recording of many EH boxes in a set of instrumentals - must check one day to see if it's a collectable.

A good review, but how about more of a demo of the modeled sounds you talked about in the C-Bank? Sounds like that is the main reason we would want one.

This unit is really nice unit. GearWire says that the output is mono. That is not true. The output is a TRS otput which means it outputs in stereo. Try using the unit with headphones. It really helps to get the full sound of the processor. I have used this unit in a studio. It really does sound great once you use the output correctly. Also, it helps to use a guitar with a pickup only. When you use a guitar with an on-board EQ preamp, it screws with the very reasons of using this processor.
Cool lil' unit, but the guitar model sounds are sub-par. Nylon didn't sound like nylon, the 12 sound is waay too washed with verb and doesn't sound like a 12 string at all. The effects are cool though...
It doesn't sound like a dobro unless you're playing slide
