@agibbs98 Hey, just because you live in France, don't give you the right put all Americans down, because of one callous comment. I see you were born here to.
agibbs98, while I do respect your view on the sorrow and fault finding of this crash, sardofish IS NOT a stupid American. He is a stupid Italian. Dumb ass Frenchman. I happen to be the stupid American here hahahaha! Now if you will excuse me, I must search other replies to find a few more nationalities to slander :)
P-38's were awsome machines, my childhood favorite.
Sad to watch that, theres plenty of P38's in museums all over the world that with enough money can be made airworty with old parts and fabrication- a sad vidio to watch
Thanks, I've been curious about this one. We can't tell much just by watching a video- air crash investigation must be an interesting challenge. I read somewhere that there is only 3 airworthy P-38's left- that doesnt sound right.
It's incredible that he would choose to do a roll while so close to the ground- and was already in a dive when it started. I wonder what the experience level of this pilot was?
No, I don't know any more about it. It could have just as easily been something like a control cable failure. I would like to know if there was some conclusion from a crash investigation. It sure looks like it was in a downward path before the "maneuver"- but I'm only speculating.
what did i spell wrong sence im a fool 4 being american

A pilot can forget to reset his altimeter from his previous airfield's flight. Not doing so when flying by the numbers can change a lot.
