If Jean had signed for Williams, maybe right now we were talking about a F1 legend with a couple or three World Titles.

This is beautiful, actually. This is one of those rare videos from that era, in which Schumacher did nothing dirty... :-))) But he matured in about 2001 (sort of). I have no problem with him today. But he used to be too dirty in the 90's. For example, I believe Monaco '06 was a genuine error! And they took the possible 6th Monaco win from him that way... Must be really sad for him.

Well who can blame him? He was offered a drive for Williams in 1991, but opted for Ferrari instead. Imagine him in the dominant 1992 and 1993 Williams cars. Ok, after Prost nearly won the title with Ferrari in 1990, it seemed as if Ferrari were going to have a very strong 1991

It is possible. However the best driver never to win the championship was Stirling Moss. 16 wins in 66 starts is one of the best averages of all, but he had a fair bit of misfortune and mechanical brakedowns while easily leading.

I also think Peterson and Reutemann both deserved to be champion. Reutemann was the real 1981 champion in my mind.

Then we have Gilles Villeneuve too. Didier Pironi was overrated in my mind.
