In Season 2 the Japanese had a man overboard, Sea Shepherd offered help, they turned it down. In season 3 the Ady Gil was rammed, the Shonan Maru #2 some assisstance. And in Season 4, the Gojira stood by offering help to the Yushin Maru #3 for 2 days, no response.

Whale meat sells for $64. per pound. So one Minke of 6 tons would make the whalers $768,000...
unless the meat is discovered to have high levels of mercury in it, then the heroes of Japan generously donate those batches to schools, to serve as lunches because they can't sell it.
The batches they do keep (and don't get SOLD) go bad in a warehouse and get dumped. Then they go out hunting for re-stock

The Sea Shepherds hit where it hurts. As we all know by now, Whales are very susceptible to toxins (just like mercury). Well, when the japanese kill a whale, the Shepherds use the legally harmless "stink bombs" to taint the meat so the whalers can't profit from it. So now they've spent the costs of fuel, salaries for their men, food & supplies, whatever licenses, and bribes... and have nothing to show for it but bankruptcy.
This, PLUS the court battles, will bring it all to an end eventually

FURTHERMORE, no they're not as a court has already told Watson because he tried using that to defend his anti sealing in Canada. On top of that it does not allow him by any means to commit piracy or terrorism, which is what he does. He has to follow the nation's laws his ship is registered under, attempting to disable ships is not a law.

I would love to know how the SSCS is a terrorist organization. Ever since Paul Watson set up the organization, they've never had anybody seriously injured. They've never had a fire on board their ships, they've never had an oil spill. In Whale Wars Season 1, the Japanese claimed some crew members were injured, they offered assisstance, the Japanese turned it down. In Season 2 the Japanese had a man overboard, Sea Shepherd offered help, they turned it down. In season 3 the Ady Gil was rammed, the Shonan Maru #2 some assisstance. And in Season 4, the Gojira stood by offering help to the Yushin Maru #3 for 2 days, no response.
