@rileydog22 no, you're wrong. they have vastly different contexts - they spring from the age of electronic music and the looping philosophy. coltrane's were from an age of pentatonic blues and melodic exploration. they seek similar things, with slightly different emphases, and both achieve a high degree of accuracy in their results.
