Perhaps folks are confusing the three legs of rope in this RADS system with the z-rig 3:1 MA system; at first glance they look quite similar. The big difference is which pulley moves. Only the traveling pulley's legs of rope can be counted when adding up MA (in this type of simple pulley system). This means (as you have so emphatically stated) RADS is only a 2:1 (minus some due to the extra friction at the redirect). Have I gotten this right?
