The compromise deal suggests that there should be 3 portion cuts and 1 portion revenue which is more sensible. The radical far Reich wants more than 4 portion cuts; some even suggested up to 8 trillion. They want to bury the government, and with it, the democracy in this country. @vidann1 The solution is scraping the entire tax code for a flat tax on all income with no exemptions or credits. The government is manipulating the free market and free people with the tax code. Half of the American people pay NO federal tax at all, and some of those get money back in the form of a credit. The purpose of taxes is to fund the necessary responsibilities of the government, not to mess with people's lives.

The fact is that there hasn't been a budget passed in two years, even when the democrats had super majority. The debt is unsustainable and the SP-report says they will downgrade the debt if there is no deal with extensive cuts and a debt ceiling raised. All Obama has proposed is a promised to cut, when he isn't even in office.
Well the rating agencies, if you read the actual reports say that without real cuts, they will downgrade the credit rating as well. So you need to raise the debt ceiling, but you need cuts as well.

The banks were leery about lending to people with little or no previous credit. Clinton said that they would have Freddie and Fanny guarantee the mortgages. That led directly to the predatory lending that made the housing bubble that caused the collapse in the first place.. not just Bush either

Bush was horrible on pretty much all accounts, but his debt included 9/11, Katrina, Rita, prescription drug bill, bailouts, and the tech bubble aftermath.
Bush in 8yrs increased the debt by about $5T (from about $5.6T to $10.6T). Obama has increased it nearly $4T in under 3yrs, and aims to magnify it.

@vidann1 The solution is scraping the entire tax code for a flat tax on all income with no exemptions or credits. The government is manipulating the free market and free people with the tax code. Half of the American people pay NO federal tax at all, and some of those get money back in the form of a credit. The purpose of taxes is to fund the necessary responsibilities of the government, not to mess with people's lives.

The fact is that there hasn't been a budget passed in two years, even when the democrats had super majority. The debt is unsustainable and the SP-report says they will downgrade the debt if there is no deal with extensive cuts and a debt ceiling raised. All Obama has proposed is a promised to cut, when he isn't even in office.

Well the rating agencies, if you read the actual reports say that without real cuts, they will downgrade the credit rating as well. So you need to raise the debt ceiling, but you need cuts as well.

The banks were leery about lending to people with little or no previous credit. Clinton said that they would have Freddie and Fanny guarantee the mortgages. That led directly to the predatory lending that made the housing bubble that caused the collapse in the first place.. not just Bush either
