@christopher12344321 Please excuse me 4 saving U tons of $ 4 identical performance =) Of course, if U had N E brains @ all U would sell your overpriced QSC stuff & get the Behringer stuff. But of course, U R the same kind of fool who pretends Gib$on has 'magical mahogany' & other knockoffs can't sound as good or better =D U R an interesting self-raping clown, that's 4 sure.
@christopher12344321@YourAverageAsshole Doing a 'kill-the-messenger' routine doesn't change the fact everything I say is obvious & correct. No point reading your troll nonsense.
If you fix the flimsy gain pots these amps WOULD be extremely reliable. As it sits I have 2 2450HDs and 4 1450s that have to have the pots run back and fourth every time I un-lid the cases. If I don't my subs go from off to unity without warning producing very undesirable results.
rmx works but will give you power switch and volume control problems over time. the plx is incredible! spend the extra money and get the plx. better damping and cleaner!
You can work at 2 ohm with 1850hd, i use 4 jbl 15" 4 ohm subs in each output and works great, is made for this kind of duty, i use 2 1450 amps for single 15" speakers and works great too and qsc 2540 for 2 jbl mpro 600W.
i been dj for over 15yrs I still have my Crown Power base 1 i had, wet it, ran 2ohm load to it on stereo, always store outdoors. and everytime has turn on, thats whay i still have it a long wiht a power base 2, k2, and Itech 6000 with over 1000 hrs
I work at a theme park in eastern Virginia and the entire place is powered with QSC amps. I have been there for quite some time and have had nothing but great things to say. Considering 6 of these amps were in a rack that was under a water pipe that broke in the room overnight...and they were powered on. We thought we would have to replace everything. Decided to let them fully dry out and see what happens. They still sound just as good as they day we bought them. THANKS QSC!!!
Ooohh, I can attest to the water defense. I think these amps are structured with anything that could short out mounted to the top so that water has a moderately decreased chance of being able to fck sht up.
crown is not the best amp out there qsc is the best to my experience i have owned plenty of amplifiers. such as carver, behringer, crown, and peavy out of all of them my 1850hd has given me 7 years of consistent power never failed once best investment i have ever made QSC keep up the great work
QSC´s RMX are a great value, but HD series are far better. They simply withstand better lower impedances and hard work, having a separate toroidal transformer for each channel.
These series amplifiers must be Class-D Pulsed Width Modulated. Class-D Amps have a 85 - 95 % efficiency performance rating whereas Class-A/B have at best 70 - 75 %. QSC amps do perform!
If you have ever had to deal with QSC's warranty then you would know it is worth it's weight in gold. They stand behind thier product very well. Also I'm sure some of those faliures are from misuse.
the 1/2 of percent isn't figured on testing, its figurded on real world warranty returns and fixes. See what other company's have for a faliure rate and that .5% isn't so bad at all. Its even better when they have the greatest warranty support I've seen.
thats cool, do you know that for a fact? just curious, cuz if i owned a company i wouldnt want to base my products reliability on real world returns and stuff. it just seems to make more sense that their statistics would be based on controlled tests...thats usually how most experiments and testing is conducted.
ford motor co doesn't base their statistics on returned cars...they conduct crash tests and such
Tushay my good man. I guess I am speculating because as a consumer I would rather know the real world faliure rate instead of what happens during testing. You are more than likey right now that I think about it. Either way I know that they stand behind the warranty if there is ever any problem. I've seen them cover stuff that is obviosly not a manufacture defalt with no problem. Getting back to the original comment you made, I would also hate to be that one but I know I would be covered.
warranty's are good! like my digital camera just broke and i had to use a crappy one for my latest video, lol but kodak is fixing it and i should have it back soon :)
Shes a pretty smart cookie..

QSC, 4X the price of Behringer, 4 nearly identical performance - WOO HOO! =D Come gather round fanboys & waste your $.
Deathrape2001 7 months ago
@Deathrape2001 How is it nearly identical performance? What behringer amp are you talking about? The EP4000?
You should know that it is a relabled EP2500 - which couldn't even do rated power. Let alone 4kw.
I think you mare mistaken. 4x the cost, 3x the power, 5x the build quality =)

You must live in the US with their low Ampere household supply.
Not as bad as Spain's mind you! turn the cooker and shower on in Spain and your trip switch goes poof lol.

La serie RMX de QSC se utiliza mucho aqui en Venezuela, son muy buenos amplificadores, y son bastante confiables

QSC RMX amps I don't like much, had the RMX2450 and RMX1450 and they went into clipping easy on 8 ohm operation when used for driving bass bins.
pretty much budget amps.
whereas Crest CA series I could cain and would never clip when pushed very hard on bass.
Crown macrotech series ain't bad either.
however the JTS UltraAmp UA6 are built like a fucking tank and my m8 couldn't clip them no matter what.
FFA FF10 are extremely good as well.
and Digam Powersoft K20 kick ass.
