  • look at those muscles!!

  • e good

  • I love seeing dogs happy at what they do!

  • Bravo! Bring them back out to hunt again. It is what over 1,000 years of evolution taught them to do.

  • We feed cat and dogs crap.. They are supposed to eat meat cats birds and small critters.. Heck.. What we feed our dog is completely wrong. Not to mention.. All the by product in our foods. TOO.. Are terrible. Wicked hunting!! Loved it. And they looked so happy and healthy!!! Those pups eye's called to dinner.. ;)

  • a good one 1.05

  • Those are fucking buff ass dogs i wish my dog was that buff and i even go rabbit hunting with him.. hes a retreiver tho =p

  • Fantastic Video its so great to see these awesome sight hounds at work doing what they know best, all you Antis need to get a serious grip

  • what lurchers were bred for! I'm not a fan, but i love to see dogs still being used for what they were bred for. Bravo!

  • when i was a kid we had a whippet, it was a blast huntin rabbits. the whole family got into it, we had so much fun.

  • I love Lurchers they're th smartest dogs i have ever seen and if you've ever seen the joy the dog gets from it you couldn't be opposed to it

  • justplainpauline your bf is bloody lucky to find a girl with asmuch sense as you

  • I find this sport surprisingly fasinating i would eventually like to get a sight hound, it is music in motion. I am not necessarily opposed to this but I understand it. I view it as a contest between some nature's fastest a challenge that lure coursing cannot provide. You cannot dublicate the intelligence & instinct of a harel. To all those animalrights fanatics we might not be here if we didn't have dogs for this kind of thing. One more thing 1 out of 10 hares are usally caught. it is rare.

  • what breed are the dark dogs @ 2:19 ? a cross? ...

  • Blue whippet greyhounds :)

  • id rather eat a wild rabbit/hare/pheasant than any meat in the supermarket.

You know its clean and not been stuffed with steroids.

    Im gettin a whippet/greyhound

  • for all u anamil rights ppl and anti hunters cram it ok it hunting it leagel and most people do it not only for sport but food too u would not even b alive it our ansesters didnt hunt so cram it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1;11 looks liek a cheetah or what ever

  • what's going on in Britain? They are banning so many things because it's not humane. I don't think it's humane to destroy such a long tradion of english breeds and their work! They have already banned bull terriers for being dangerous (I would say this breed is one of a kind on the whole world!!!) and now they're banning hare coursing... don't tell me that Britain is the country of traditions!

  • i.m actually an animal lover too and lived in the countryside all my life, however i own 4 dogs and rather than treat them like humans i allow them to express their natural instincts as dogs and take them out to catch their own food. they eat every rabbit they catch exactly the same as any other predetory wild animal ie fox. nobody really teaches a dog to do this its a predetermined by 1000000's of years of evolution and survival. i would hate to see anything killed meaninglessly thats abit sick

  • Not killed for fun mate killed for dinner, All my dogs were much healthier when they wasnt on pet shop food, sadly they are back on it as I have stopped hunting for a while and they are much lazier

  • your a fucking fool what do you think would happen in the wild the dog would cuddle up and lick it. do you live in a house? do you walk on roads? probably drive a car? youre more destructive than these dogs you sad cunt

  • incredible dogs they are so fast and never stop.

  • rabbit doesn't have a chance a change against a lurcher are a greyhound

  • hahahaha at 2:09 was fing funy

  • look at the muscles on them dogs !!! did you take them photos because they are realy good :)

  • yeh gud lurcher there matey!!! I have a lurcher shes 4 months old at the moment, hope she works well next back end!!!!!

  • These are just the loveliest dogs with superb natures.

I have a 12.5 yr old deerhound cross bedlington, still fierce but friendly, kind & loyal & also a 2 yr old greyhound/whippet cross speedy little nutter!!!

The best pets!!! However...get used to sitting on the floor!! lol!!

  • Let me ask you. Is it cruel when a photographer sits in his car and records a cheetah catch a springbok and eat it ???. That's nature isn't it?.. I'm sure that is fine with you. These dogs have been hunting hares, rabbits, deer for THOUSANDS of years. Are you now going to point to the dog and say "sorry mate, but you can't do that anymore". These dogs chase by nature. That is what they have done for thousands of years and will always do. Let nature decide what is cruel.. not a hypocrite.

  • i would also like to add, that most people against animal hunting are also into the "planet",which is fine,no problem. But if there was a world disaster, where we have no lecci etc,i would rather have a lurcher by my side helping me catch my dinner

  • I agree with most of this but I dont think they should be against hunting, do they realise they would not exist if it wasnt for hunting animals.

  • I had a beautiful lurcher for 17yrs.I never trained her & she was very well behaved. She also used to catch rabbits.I love all animals, but it was so quick!! She would dispatch them in seconds & no torn skin. She never ripped them apart.I also have to say,i enjoyed watching her & seeing that "glazed" look shed get in her eyes.Beautiful

  • Im a big animal lover but i aint against this :) Its in a lurcher/greyhounds nature to hunt ?

I dont do it myself, i feel sorry for them but we kill cows ect dont we?

And yeh it is " what lurchers where bred for" only reason i aint against it is ive seen the way my bf's lurcher goes!.. shes in her element and loves it!

  • yes it is in their nature and we shouldn't judge them for that. So really i am a vegetarian i don't think it so bad for Lurchers and greyhounds to chase rabbits because its in their nature. However if others are really botherd why don't they let their dog chase after the rabbit with a muzzle on?? Rabbit loses weight and the sight hound has a good time running around.

  • Because that means no dinner! although I do see where your coming from :) They wear a muzzel at some coursing events like in some of my pictures

  • the problem isnt the fact that the dogs are used for hunting.

The problem is, after hunting season, most dogs are killed/abandoned/hanged to trees. I live in Spain, I work in a shelter that takes in greyhounds and galgos and I know what Im sayig.

  • I see where your coming from but most rabbiting dogs, hare coursing dogs are family pets when at home and only come into action when commanded to do so by its master, I have only had one dog who was viscous around the home she was a greyhound but was an amazing dog she just needed and one person home

  • animal rights? ha bet u would try to stuff the longdog. your an ass. do you have a dog? or maybe something veggie!

  • Great video and shots, love the silhouette shot on the breast of a hill

  • very nice compilation, what a pity that the ignorant changes the traditions of an entire nation. I rue the ban, and congratulate you on so lovely pics. to all those who don't know, they dogs do not tear anything apart, the stop the rabbit, hare which is then humanely dispatched by the dog handler, just like in ferreting. please know your subject before you spout rubbish.

  • to all the anti s get a life

  • I love Racingdogs!

But its just a torture for the Rabbits!

  • Its called dinner not torture, The circle of life, I never hunt when Its breeding season, My dogs usually kill rabbits with diseases such as myxmatosis There for keeping the rabbit population healthy, you have to remember the saying 'breeding like rabbits' Diseased ones give birth to infected young. Sorry for my bad spelling above!

  • You eat them?

Then it´s really okay! But when some people do it just for fun, and the rabbits can't run away, than its torture.

And: Your dogs are very beautiful!

  • i would like to say love the pics mate i go out with my collie grayhound all the time wether it is the hear gettin chaced or me by the filf we have a right good time

  • awesome dogs mate well done on a good job

  • animalrightsunited shut the fuck up!!

what were lurchers bred for you muppet?

    are you a vegetarian?

    no didnt think so

    on ya way!!

    KEEP HUNTING BOYS!

  • And Women ;) Rather sexist that haha

  • sorrryyyy :)

  • Poor little wabbits munching their way through millions of pounds worth of farmers, crops inflating the price of food and competing with indigenous species.

Dog or rifle are the best thing for these vermin, both are better than the slow death of poisoning.

  • shut up you big tart - its hunting!

  • The use of dogs to savagely tear apart rabbits and other small animals for the sordid and bloody entertainment of their bloodthirsty owners is an abomination to decen humanity.

  • Im sorry but do these rabbits look torn apart to you?

Even now just walking your dog through a feild it could just as easy sniff out a rabbit and catch it, its not always the humans doing, Its just coursing is a sport, unlike fox hunting etc it is all by chance weather or not youl get a few good runs, rarely is a hare caught unless its already injured, old, or unhealthy, you have set times for coursing so not in breeding season, its really a fair sport, one dog one hare, on the hares territory!

  • I totally agree! I've been with a man who shot rabbits and hares in New Zealand and sometimes he didn't get the right shot and the animals were just injured and had to suffer til death. A dog's kill is short and while walking a dog around the corner it can always happen that it walks into a nest of birds and kills the little ones. There are other things you should be mad about - for example killing galgos in Spain!

  • Insteadof tearing the rabbit apart don't they break their necks or some thing??

  • I good hunting dog usually grabs the hare or rabbit shakes it and kills it instantly and then returns its kill to its master asif to say 'here's dinner mum' The same as they would have done many hundred years ago. Untrained dogs who think they are the leader of the pack run off with there kill and decide to either play with there food or eat it themselves.

  • Well, they look pretty much dead to me, alright...

  • define "decen humanity" learn how to spell, you fucktard, mind your own business, marry your own donkey, or whatever ARA's do to animals, i would write more but i need to go to a cockfight, and no you can't watch my cock, your a fucktard

  • you fuckin animal rights people need to leave the hunters alone....they have seasons set for us to hunt in and we use them to hunt...thase rabbits are not torn at all the dog is doing wat it was bread for...and you people think we get every rabbit our dogs chase well we dont...my beagles ran 10 or 11 rabbits and i never got an opertunity to shoot one...s shut ur tree huggin ass up and go eat some veggies....and if ur not a veggitarian u are the one who puts animals through slaughter houses so

  • you fucktard they eat the rabbit after they kill them

  • I agree...If you watch my documentary, tis only 3 mins or so...its pretty grim. The thing that bothers me is not the hunting so much as the human who desires to spend a day killing animals for fun.

  • @AnimalRightsUnited your a fucking fool what do you thik would happen in the wild the dog would cuddle up and lick it. do you live in a house? do you walk on roads? probably drive a car? youre more destructive than these dogs you sad cunt

  • absolutly brill well done. i love lurchers,i have 2 with 2 whippets who im sure if they could talk would say screw the ban. its great watching them at full tilt, shame the goverment has ruined the dogs given right to do what is only natural

  • Then address your message to the government.
