yeah, In the manga today hinata was killed by pain after prounancing her love to naruto and trying to protect him.

Yeah well a couple chapters after that, it turns out, she was still alive. Besides even if she wasn't, when Nagato died and brought everyone in Konoha who was killed back to life, she would have been revived too if she really was dead. Thus the point is moot.

It's a shy person thing. It can literally hurt trying to talk to people (kinda like the feeling you get when you're terribly embarrassed, but still a little different).
