Shorting. You sell first (borrow shares you dont have from the broker) and buy them back at a lower price. The broker gets the shares back and you pocket the difference. Think of it this way: you borrow 100 Wii game systems and sell them on Ebay. 1 month later, new Wii systems are selling for 50 dollars less, you go and buy them back at a lower price and give back the 100 Wii systems that you owe pocketing the difference in price.
I use 10, 20, and 50 SMA. I think Steve has a stochastic indicator and he'll have to answer the setting question. I've always used a stochastic and a DMI but I'm not too pleased with the Lightspeed's indicators so I haven't incorporated them into my charts

Andy, What is the setting for your moving average indicator ? is it SMA (5) 10 , 20 ?
Also I see Steve using another indictor that you don't use ? what is it ? and what is it for ? and what's its setting?
