What was so disgraceful about this match is that it was practically designed to be impossible for Aoki to lose. The MMA round was 2 minutes longer than the (modified) kickboxing round with free downs, and there was no decision - which meant that if Aoki did not score a submission in the second round (which he was expected to easily do so), it would have been a tie regardless of how Nagashima did in either rounds. The organizers REALLY wanted Aoki to win. Despite all that, Aoki lost like a clown.

If anyone hasn't seen it, Nagashima's performance in the K-1 MAX Japan finals was pretty fantastic. He stopped all of his opponents and the last fight was pretty awesome. I would love to see the guy back in MMA.

Now, in some cases with stuff like Jienotsu vs Kikuno, Kikuno could strike and grapple so he did well in both rounds. I think it should either be a kickboxing fight or an MMA fight, no mixed rules.
