I never liked Lithgow, but granted that may just be because "3rd Rock" is probably the worst sitcom ever and I haven't seen much else from him.

Lithgow turned down the role of Frasier Crane back in the early Cheers years, thus pretty much starting the career path for Kelsey Grammer. Bad for him. Good for us.

@malcer2 Look up the Showtime series 'Dexter.' In season 4, he plays a serial killer and gives one of the best and most amazing dramatic performances I've seen ANYONE give. Don't judge an actor based on only one of his performances, especially an actor like Lithgow who's been nominated twice for Academy Awards and won the Tony award. You're a very ignorant person, however I'll concur that yes, Kelsey Grammar is far more suited.
