  • Damn! Y'all are even slow in fast foward.

  • AFTER ALL THAT WORK ITS STILL GONNA LEAK. LOL

  • lookat the bow in the 2x8 under his fat ass, ever heard of a stationary bike fatboy?

  • Terrible! There tracking the shingles! A nice wind will blow the shingles off the roof! This is the reason why I have a job, an insurance adjuster!

  • Stacking damages the shingles

  • Who gave the workers meth? :)

  • they fast cas they mexicans

  • We use sponges Too! Shitty shingles though! I hate 3-tab

  • Man I have been roofing for 27 years. That is the way you do it. All the haterz hear just wish they could LMAO at knee pads HAHAHA you go use them and while your on your knees given head. The pros will be roofing> Nuff said. From one roofer to another you some bad dudes casireisi. Knee pads HAHAHAHA!

  • These motherfuckers are fast1

  • No knee pads? how that working out for ya?

  • @MrDaveecampbell I have never seen a roofer use knee pads not once i been roofing since i was 15

  • good ol cushion.doesnt look steep enuf 4 toe boards tho. i can get a runnin start on a flat an run up an 11:12

  • @jlinn91 Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

  • Dudes are crazy trusting their life with a nail.

  • In south texas, the drip edge is installed under the felt paper along the eves, and on top the felt along the rake. International Residential Code 2006 and Texas Windstorm Regulation.

  • time consuming work. with clay or concrete roof tiles this job would go alot faster.

  • This must be Florida, all that bull is a pain in the ass....

  • @coracheck214 - Correct. Miami to be exact.

  • @casireisi I worked for 2 years in Miami and those 2 years were a pain in the ass. Roofing Florida is not worth it, to slow for me I prefer Texas or Louisana.

  • Holy crap, what do you get there, tornados and hurricanes. Dont you think tar on the gable is going overboard. Think of the next poor fella that has to rip that off.

lol, get off your wallet and buy some knee pads.

Looks pretty strait tho, cudos for quality.

  • @AlYassou3Rabbi yea i had to redo my roof which my grand dad did in the 70's. all the tar and shit was a pain in the ass. xD

  • Why didnt someone cut that piece of foam square? was it because it had to be put back on the couch at the end of the day?lol

  • using a pillow for roofing?

  • @executionair, it's probably a couch cushion. The things will not move on shingles and don't beat shingles up like knee pads.

And if it's hot, it will keep you from cooking your skin on the roof, ha ha ha!

I'm not a roofer but am a DYI guy and a buddy and I did my roof. He's a contractor and he brought a couch cushion. It was my second best friend that day.

  • @itpduder - That's correct is was the foam part of a couch cushion. Makes perfect sense to use that for the reasons you mentioned. I also have to add that it didn't slip.

  • @casireisi, per the slippage, those cushions are perfect. They hold like velcro when when is put upon them and don't damage the shingles.

It's one of the greatest "trade secrets."

  • These guys are really Good. love how yall did the back down. But on yer Gable End right side. Do you guys put Starter??? But anyways Nice straight lines. Goood shyt.

  • @Naphorse ON 3-TABS SHINGLES YOU DON'T HAVE TO INSTALL STARTERS ON GABLES ONLY ON EAVES , AND YES, MOSTLY OF ROOFERS INSTALL STARTERS ON GABLES .

  • Les mando un saludo a las personas que trabajan en este oficio

    cuidense mucho dios los vendiga!!!!

    5*****

  • roofing without a harness that will get you fired

  • I think for warranty purposes manufactures require installers to overlap shingles in the valleys. We run ice and water shield first then an aluminum valley then overlap the shingles one side over the other.

  • why dont you guys over there slat roof?

  • That valley on the dormer is ran all messed up. slow down....

  • @guybo24 - I'm not a roofer but while I recorded this footage the chief inspector of the city was there for inspection. She said that the work was fine. The metal sheet in the valley was applied entirely underneath the the shingle and sealed with tar also using some sort of tape to make the metal sheet connect with the base sheet. Like I said I'm not an expert but it passes inspection with flying colors.

  • @casireisi lol i am and exspert owner of a roofing company. I have yet to see a inspector that knows any thing about roofs all thay care is it looks ok. sad but true. i havent seen one inspetor check how many nails in a shingle or were the nail was placed. if the nails are to high the shingles can blow off to low thay can be exsposed.

  • @mrdoyer2u1 - I see what you mean and I can imagine that it's happening. Although is it really that bad, that not one inspector who knows anything about roofing? If so, it's time to change something also just because of insurance issues...

  • the shingles on the valley look like there ran correctly i just think they should have ran the first shingle from the right side underneath the left valley first and then started the left valley oh and it looked that way because some roofers just run the valley that goes on top acrossmand pop a line 2 innch. away from valley and cut with a hook blade to give it a neat finsh .and it didnt show that step .

  • @nb3er - I think I know what you mean. Are you talking about that in the end you would actually see the exposed metal sheet once they use the hook knife to remove the shingles in the valley?

If that's what you mean, I have no idea why they do it this way now. The old roof that was ripped off had it the way you described. Seems they want the shingles take over the "valley" job and use the sheet underneath as additional protection. Other than that - no idea.

  • @guybo24 U dont know what yer talking about Pal. Go Read a GAF book and it will tell you some dumb bullshyt. Thats th e correct way to do a Valley. So Elaborate. Whats wrong?

  • the one thing I dont like about the weave without metal is the bottom of that valley is going to leak eventually

  • @OMarkTheSharkO Up here in the great white north, you cant weave a valley without metal under it. Most companies use a starter in the valley with a 4-6" exposure. You sure wouldnt get away with that up here.

My only concern would be, no tie offs. Funny how roofers consider themselves invinceable. Its not if you fall, its when....
