Great song. I sort of didn't appreciate it like other Neil tunes until I saw a lot of other artists were covering it. Be-youtiful (and crisp solo!) :)
Hey guys, if you have a spare minute please check out my guitar covers on my channel. I hate advertising like this, it sucks but it seems like the only way to get exposure. It would be really appreciated if you check them out, thanks :)
We run a little inn in northwest Minnesota and one nite Neil stayed on his way to Winnipeg after driving 550 miles. What a gentleman, I got to jam with him on a cheap accoustic guitar and a Yamaha RX-7. Never forget it.......
Neil, since we have been such good fans throu the good and not so, can you comp us tickets to a show in the Bay Area and not in the seats where you watch the show on some TV screen 10 miles away? Larry Craig works on my guitars he"s got my #
I herd this on the radio(Cow Girl) stopped by the local record shop and said "who is this" that's when I found out about the album that was when I learned about the whole thing, from Buffalo Springfield and the 1st album. After Neil took us on a Roller coaster. Up and down but we rode the long ride.
I have to say that this is one of my favorite Neil albums. Maybe because it is a mix of his electric grungy self with his old folk/country roots. So many people never point to this album when they celebrate the genius of Neil Young. I suppose it is an acquired taste but once you acquire it, it is well beyond any other earthly delight.
There are some great comments below; I remember being 15 the winter of 70-71 and I probably played a groove in this song, love it as much today as I did then, the guitar solo makes me smile every time
@TheVeedubb ya know so what if someone hits the dislike-everyone has a right to their opinion. if everyone liked everything we'd have nothing to argue about on here LOL!
Joining a band that does this song.....listened to this constantly the winter of '70-71...looking forward to playing this one. At juarjum = agreed that this one great lead guitar part
Not many see Young as such a major player in the country scene. But that boy sure has the country-kick lick down pat. Wish more country players would take his lead in being authentic and not all trying to sound like every other country singer.

this isn't country. Sorta. Alt-Country. He went full blown country later on.

I wish country was still good like this. I wish country hadn't become a generic, commercial form of pop music like it is today.
