The graphics in TDT and BrassEye which aren't explicitly comical and seek to elicit laughs from how overblown and pointless they are aren't funny any more - they were lampooning the pointless use of meaningless graphics, and you see far worse with ALARMING regularity on most mainstream news programmes. Everything's illustrated with a weird literal visual depiction or senseless graph.
