huh. Fiona's Skill growth isn't terrible (about 40% which isn't too bad) but god dang, you must've been horribly unlucky with her if her skill is that terrible. If you want to see a true failure at hitting things, look at Gonzales from FE6 (15% skill growth and axes are ridiculously difficult to hit with in that game anyways.)

It's because the controller of the mercs is actually smart this time instead of a blind rush. Plus the Crimaen knights are helping

what's speed so important for? seriously, i keep reading about how speed is so important, but i don't understand what it's important for.

Speed is important in calculating a unit's avoid chance, as well as how many times they can attack someone else. For example, if a unit's attack speed is 4 greater than another unit's, then they can attack twice. That's why I was surprised at how fast Nolan was compared to Boyd -- he could hit him twice.

They won't fight, I believe. If you take Haar you can talk to Jill and get her on your side. As for Brom and Nephenee, they won't fight with...Brom's daughter, whose name escapes me right now.
