Edmonton should take Seguin because they need help at center more than LW, the Bruins need help at wing more than at C. For the record I'm a Bruins fan and would prefer Hall over Seguin, not because I think he's better, but because the Bruins need a winger more than a center. If the Oilers take Hall, Boston will take Seguin and I'll still be ecstatic and we'll be a SERIOUS contender for years to come. The scouts are right Seguin is the NEXT Steve Yzerman!!! Go Bruins!!!
seguin will be twice the player hall will be, all hall cares about is going to a cup winning team, were seguin just wants to play in the NHL and improve his play so he will bettter down the stretch
@SMITTY10262004 i agree, i think hall wil have a great NHL career, but seguin will make everyone around him better. i almost hope edmonton fucks up and takes hall, just so seguin can go to a contender
@npoc like dont get me wrong id love to have either guy but honnestly if i was the oilers GM and after watching there interviews i would probally go with seguin just i think hes more mature and more ready to play in the NHL
I'm hoping Boston trades their #2 overall pick and another player like Denis Wideman to Edmonton for the #1 overall pick, so they can pick up Hall. They desperately need a top line winger since they lost Kessel and Hall deifnatly could fill that role. I think it's possible because if I was Edmonton and could only fall to second overall and pick up another player I'd go for it. You'd still be getting either Fowler or Seguin. It's win win.
this is terrible oilers definitly grabbing seguin and panthers are at 3rd also they are probobly going to trade for 2nd pic like trade with boston then select hall
Edmonton will select Hall, and then immediately ruin any talent the kid has. No prospect will ever develop properly in Edmonton until Edmonton changes nearly everything about the organization. Also, Edmonton should take a Center like Sequin since they are pretty deep at wing, but that would be intelligent and that is far from what Edmonton is.
@juffan at least the Oilers weren't DUMB enough to trade their 1st AND 2nd round picks in the 2010 draft like the Leafs did! and next years 1st rounder as well. unbelievably dumb!! the Leafs are the NHL's real unintelligent franchise! 1967 and counting.
@juffan the Leafs are gonna have a tough time these next few years trying to rebuild that team with those missing picks! i think it was Forbes magazine? that recently said the Oilers were the worst managed team in the NHL, so what you posted at the end of your previous post apparently isn't so far from the truth, and Oiler management is listening to it's critics (media, fans) and trying hard to change things.
