because it's not always easy to know how. We need more givers. And as a Christian i hope to be more of one than have in the past. To follow Christ's big heart for the needy.
Shane Clairborn(Christian actavist for the needy) said... it's not that the Christian Church hates the poor, it's that we do not know them. I beleive he's right, although that dosn't justify all the wrong ways we spend our money for ourselves. It is sad, the Church is a mess, thank our graciouse God it's a forgiven mess. We are spiritually poor in our wealth and needy in our own way. I dream of a Christian Church that will know the poor, know the need, and have the wisdom to help
There are people in the world who have nothing. Yet most north americans are worried about stuffing their face with turkey and the latest big screen television.
I still say that 260 000 people were wiped off the face of the earth and it happened for a reason at christmas.
This video is right up there with do they know it's christmas.
oh but run hysterically to the stores to spend more.......
@garycalgary Its terrible over there, but eating less in America wont save those in Congo. Its not that simple. And no matter how much money or food you send to Congo, people will always find themselves in such dire situations until the cultural and political framework changes drastically.
I appreciate that while this video shows stark contrasts, it also illustrates that we are really all very similar in looking for hope and a better future.

No, you're wrong. It's judgemental and ungracious comments like that that are a huge reason that North America has rejected religion.

I wish people who didn't already know or care about the issues in the rest of the world could see this. Change can only come out of knowledge.
