@GordonMorrice Wow! That's the first time anyone's ever randomly mentioned H.L.M. before. Yes, I have! He was an amazing essayist, and his prose was striking. I can't say that I'm in agreement with a lot of his views but he wrote them beautifully!
@DragonflyNoir10 Nice to know I can "wow!" from time to time! Ha ha!
Mencken is a hoot, very invigorating prose, I agree. Some of views, like Nietzsche (whom Mencken was a great admirer of and translated The Antichrist into English) are, let's just say, 'from the spleen' on Jews, women for example. But generally he skewers pretention and pomposity brilliant. There's a great biography on H.L.M called "The Skeptic" by Terry Teachout that you might enjoy.
@GordonMorrice Oh, may I ask what your take on what life is like in Miami right now? I know Lloyd Pye - the Starchild skull guy - and he recently said that the economic climate is fragile. What about the air? Aren't you scared about the toxicity? I hope that this madness ends, but this madness seems quite at home these days.
In scene 1 you see a young Dotty clipping out a picture of a baby's coffin.
I read that this was a fascination of hers and Benchley's, bizarre!!

I Just Love How Clumsly Poor George S. Kaufman Looks. He Was Such A Character. A True Genius In his Field.

@DragonflyNoir10 Sidecar! Great drink! Hey, nice to see you like Nietzsche. Ever read any of H. L. Mencken's work?

Those prices on the Algonquin menu are hefty, by the way! A loaf of bread cost around 10 cents in the 1920s.
