  • do you find the patterns on the 360 version differ to the original machines?

  • awesome - do you use the left stick or the d-pad?

  • WHY THE BULLSHIT MUSIC?

  • lol my best is only 61540 p.s how do you make it start on hard levels?????????????

  • look at the pacman on the uper rite hand screen

  • like a boss he outsmarts them

  • sI'd sure appreciate it if someone could tell me what group does this particular version of this song. I can't find it anywhere but this video. Someone....please, please tell me!

  • 10 people got trapped by Blinky and Pinky

  • JESUS CHRIST! The ghosts don't even turn blue for a second, by that point! The "power pellets" become nothing more than larger dots.

I never once got HALF that far!

  • respect!

  • This should always be the background music to Pac-Man.

  • I remember getting to zero after many hours of play in the early 80's but thought I did something wrong? I guess I dominated until the machine says 'no more'. The arcade game is designed to reset as some vendors told me but I thought they were telling me this for me to leave and they could make more money (true)! But, they were making good money in the 80's from me and my family, they didn't mind! Yes, those were the days!

  • Well i played this a lot in the eighties and we all knew the "route", disappointing end to the arcade version as the Pac-Man just slows down to a halt on the 9-12th key so bascially nothing can be done unless somebody else has a different story to tell ?

  • Thank you so much, I finally got my Pac-Man trophy on the PS3 thanks to your strategy!

  • how much levels have u got thru? I got tru 23 i think or 22

  • Here people...must see movie if your a real gamer, its called 'The King Of Kong'...just check it out!

  • Billy Mitchell Blows his own Goat.

  • those were the days !

  • The red and the pink ones always trap me in a corner and gang rape me.

  • The red and the pink ones always trap me in a corner and gang rape me.

  • I'd appreciate if someone would tell me the name of this song behind the pacman sounds throughout the video.

  • why is it called "the ninth key pattern"?

  • Each level has a fruit associated with it.

First is cherry, later levels include Strawberry, Peach, Grapes, etc.

The Key is the last "fruit" symbol that appears. Once you get to the 9th level of keys, you do not need any other pattern to clear the whole screen. The other key screens have different patterns. But once you get to the 9th key screen, and you master it, you can go on forever with the same pattern.. Well, when i say forever, i mean to Board 256, where the screen display crashes.

  • i always get raped in the corner by the red one

  • Doesn't memorizing patterns kind of take the fun out of it? Oh wait... that's why I'm able to beat Ninja Gaiden in 15 minutes, huh?

  • @poshko41 No because from time to time during play you will have to freestyle. Its funner doing both than just freestyle alone.

  • so what, on the really high levels do the orbs not turn them blue? :/

  • Thats correct. The "power pellets" no longer function and its all out run run run!

Remembering 255 patterns is pretty challenging but Silly Bitchell can do it with out patterns although he does know them. If you figure out how to control the ghosts and know what they are most likely to do, you can beat em. When sitting still, if you hold the joystick in a direction such as UP, the ghosts will tend to go up.

  • i played this level you cant make one mistake

  • how do u suck my highest score was 21,000 ive broken 2 360s trying to beat it every time i get close i get fucked in a corner. i dont know how u guys get such high scores

  • it's easy, there are patterns that allow you to get to 40000 without even trying. Then once it starts going faster you have to be more precise, but if you fallow the patterns you can make it

  • does this work from level 1

    \

  • no not until the strawberry

  • what is the song/i like it

  • Track used: Il Folklorista - Those Were The Days

  • did you know that i like this video and at firsti dindit even know tht you owned it i love your videos

  • WTF? That's not Mary Hopkin. Who the heck is that in the background?

  • u got a life back for so many points

  • why didn't you start on level one? i've been to the sixth key from the cherry level.

  • cool video.

  • since the side edge is longer than the top and bottom, this game will have a chance to be in the DS.

  • Did you disable the power pills in this game?

  • No .The power pills stop turning blue at about Level 16 or about 150,000 points, right?Or is this not true?

  • About level 21 they stop changing dark blue forever. There are screens before where the change is almost no time at all..

  • Sorry , I meant that ' the ghosts (not the power pills) stop turning blue. And the lack of blue, edible ghosts is an automatic change, probably?

  • No, they turn off eventually

  • If your that high in in game. Why is your score only 19,000?

  • you're

  • It's on the PS3 or Xbox 360, where you can start from the last level you got to, but your score starts at zero again.

  • wait so after 234 levels the game glitches up?

  • Does PacMan register a score above a million? I've never seen a pacman game over 6 digits.

  • yes, it is possible. The Pac Man World Champion, who beat all 256 levels with a single life, got over 3 million in final. The perfect run. You should look the guy up: Billy Mitchell

  • What song is this?

  • What song IS this? seriously.

  • This is the original Pac-Man, when you get to the higher levels in the game, the ghosts will become invulnerable when Pac-Man eats a power pill.

  • What do you mean ,' this is the original Pac-Man'? This is played on an xbox 360 (later version than the original right?)and so not an original version ?

  • Even though this version is for the 360, it's very similar to the arcade version, except for the updated Pac-Man art on both sides of the maze.

  • when u get to lvl 21 and above ghosts dont turn blue

  • They don't turn blue, but they DO change

    direction.

  • I can't beat the 5th key pattern

  • I was told about the pattern years ago. There are websites that detail the pattern for every level. Just do a google search.

  • woo

  • what the hell is the ninth key pattern

  • it's the level number.

cherry, Strawberry, Peach1,Peach2,Apple1,Apple2, Grapes1,Grapes2,Galaxian1,Galaxian2, Bell1,Bell2, Key1,key2,key3,key4,key5,key6,key7,key8 key9, key10 From teth key on you just repeat the long process of the same pattern, and eventually when you reach the 255th level the screen glitches signifying the end, because you cant get past the glitch screen. if you make it that far you should have a score 3 million or more if your any good.

  • lol ok

  • LordBicen (2 months ago)Is this fruit etc order ,only applicable to this xbox 360 version? This isnt an original version is it?

  • LordBicen : Is the movement and timing etc of the pacman and ghosts in this xbox 360 version any different than the original version which was available in the early '80s?The fruit types etc is different in this xbox version aye?Did'nt the pacman game in the '80s have a treasure chest reward to be eaten?

  • Dont know about the XBOX version, but the arcade was Cherry, Strawberry, peach1, peach2, apple1, apple2, grape1, grape2, Galaxian1, Galaxian2, Bell1, Bell2, Key1-10 and after until you reach level 255 where the screen splits.

  • What did the Galaxians look like?

Is this xbox version different in any way than the original '80s version and how different? Are there any YouTube original versions ?

  • They look like the Leader Aliens from the game Galaxian Circa 1981. do a Search on the game on here and you should see it. it's the Yellow and Blue alien leader that attacks with 2-3 escort aliens. Old school gamers call them Thunderbirds.

  • sick!

  • I cant get the ninth key pattern to work

because my mame controller isnt fast enough

pacman slows down a bit and messes up the

pattern, how can I fix the controller to

operate pacman at the correct speed for ninth

    key pattern?

  • Dude!! hw did you find that out ?!?!

  • I never seen it happen in the arcade, but i remember hearing rumors about this screen back in the 80's when this game was brand new. It was a real urban legend, till Billy Mitchel did it on camera for all to see.

  • Freak ! :)

  • "Am I on Cam?"

  • u play this game far too much yo

  • absolutely beautiful

  • wow..how did u do that?

  • Ms. PacMan is much better than Orignal PacMan

  • What the hell.. why did you give me a negative point? =\ It was sarcasm...

  • it wasn't me. lol

  • oh my.....lol, 1:22 "Am I on Cam?" haha

  • where can I find the exact music?

  • the song is by iL folklorista - those were the days (Su Le Man) it's off of their Some Experiments album. If you can't find it on Limewire, Bearshare, or something like that then go on iTunes and buy it for $0.99.

  • Thank you very much!! How did you know this?? Don't tell me you're the one selling it.. lol =)

  • i bet you played this game a whole lifespan

  • Tell me the music please :D

  • "Those Were The Days" by Mary Hopkin.

Hope I got it right. :P For me it's music from my mum's time.

  • haha 1:10

    pacman- "wtf"

    nice

  • WHATS THE MUSIC

  • i heard only one guy in the whole world finished all lvs

  • Never missed a dot, a power up, a bonus, nor a blue man for 256 lvls.

  • no you didn't

  • Technically he didn't beat it. he beat 255 levels without losing a life, got the power ups and got all the ghost. The 256 level is impossible to beat because it kinda gets fucked up and crashes.

  • @MansoorClan The keys start on level 21. He just cheated to get to this level. Start it at the beginning and look at the score.

  • @MansoorClan but he did get to the end of the game. I would say that is beating it.

  • it seems 255 was the highest possible no. in all classic games. pac man and galaga are good examples.

  • Yeah, many classic video game bugs were due to shortcomings caused by program code that used only 8 bits for calculating numbers (which only permits values from 0 to 255).

  • so that's why. hm, you're smart.

  • lol.

  • the power pellets are useless

  • my bad, its just that the internet mixes that up all the time, thanks for the correction

  • Thank God we had the Sarah Brightman soundtrack to get us through that.

  • btw, it was Billy Mitchell who beat it, google it, score of 6,666,630 points, no joke!

  • its 3,333,360.. lmao... u flipped the 6 with the 3 =P

  • I kinda used this one, but I managed to get to the 52 level in a pac-man (a computer one) no joke, and it wasn't a flash one, it was a offical pac-man game from namco, but I will never beat it, there was one one guy to beat it

  • Wow you are GOOD!

  • I remember this song but I can't think of the title. Anyone knows it?

  • Mary Hopkins - Those were the days, but dont know the mix

  • theres like 3 patterns and i know them all

  • how come the ghosts didnt turn blue when you ate the power pellets

  • To advanced in level, I guess. The power pellets last for shorter and shorter periods of time the higher the level...until being altogether ineffective (except for making the ghosts briefly start to back off).

  • What exactly is a "pattern"?

  • i guess its a set of keys u press to win

  • Pac-Man "patterns" are carefully set paths of movement through the game maze, performed so that the player can eat both bonuses per level, and (a) eat all dots and energizers, or (b) eat *most* of the dots, leaving the energizers to pick off the monsters at your leisure. The "Champion level" Pac-Man player needs both a good pattern and the endurance to last through level 255.

  • Except that after level 21 the ghosts get an immunity to power pellets and it becomes just about the pattern

  • so that's why he didn't use the power pellets

  • okay What? wow I never got past level 3 on this game. but why not just make the ghosts more cunning?

but yet this is in the age were AI was as primitive as steam powered objects

  • that was awsome Im gonna d this to the paper Im tyoing for my final! in english

  • bravo!

  • This will come in handy for that Pac-Man tournament going on Xbox Live. Thanks.

  • Thanks for doing this. Excellent!

  • I'm starting to learn the patterns now :) It's pretty fun! I'm just now learning the Apple Pattern, and I noticed that the beginning of the Ninth Key is exactly like it. Pretty awesome! Great vid!

  • what pattern? please tell me soon My brother owns it!

  • In July of 1999, Florida resident and die-hard Pac-Man fan Billy Mitchell achieved the first perfect score in Pac-Man (3,333,360) after playing for six hours straight. He beat all 256 screens eating every dot, fruit, and ghost (all four ghosts were eaten with each power pellet) - using only one Pac-Man!

  • he didn't use patterns either

  • actually, he did. He says in an interview with Xbox Live's Major Nelson (Larry Hyrb) He says that the thing about getting the record he set, was that he was doing the same thing over and over and over flawlessly. Huh, that sound an awful lot... like a pattern.

  • nice!!!

  • "And as you can see on the highscore, I suck @ this game..." (from description)

I wish i was that "sucky" at pac man. you're good

  • can you upload a video where you can have all the patterns for all levels?

  • I'm glad to see you kids are keeping the 9th key flame alive...

  • Nice video made me laugh :D

  • You'll be reaching Billy Mitchel status. Good luck.

  • GOOD

  • This pattern works great... I used one minor adjustment to improve the 'robustness'. After the first key, you chase the green ghost, come up, loop, back past the origin, and GO UP - OVER - UP - OUT THE SIDE and continue as normal. This gives you a chance to make up the gap. To the guy that asked about Level 256... its a real dissapointment.

  • Yeah, it's a great pattern at first. Very effecient.

Just later with the pause, kind of throws chance in there. You nearly died from Pinky in the lower left

corner the first time. I suppose you can still pause and great pattern over all.

  • Whats the name of the song you used BTW?

  • Track used: Il Folklorista - Those Were The Days. I thought it was an appropriate track to use... :)

  • Thanks bud, well it's better than the usual cliche use of "Pac-Man Fever" by Buckman and Garcia ^_^

Do you know ir the split screen effect happens on the 360 version at all yet?

  • The powerpills... they do nothing!!!

  • Yes, they dont do anything after a certain level

  • You are the complete sh!t.
