  • Yuri, some good stuff here. Great combo on the pull-ups!

  • Holla! Have you heard the talk about - fast abs magic (do a search on google)? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin got great 6 pack abs and lost lots of belly fat with it.

  • man, hes exited

  • cant do it i left my body weight at home

  • i dare you to squat and deadlift...

  • I'm not a hater this is just a general comment surely any 5 exercises done to failure are going to be hard so what makes this any different also surely if you have worked to failure on the first few exercises the second lot of pull ups would be useless due to the fact you shouldn't be able to physically pull yourself up anymore?

  • this isnt really a core workout, more of a full body circuit, and no, not very advanced.

  • Umm...Shouldnt this b more of a beginner or intermediate workout? No disrespect good video but its not very advanced. Advanced calisthenics are planche pushups, muscle ups, human flag, etc. Look up Hannibal for King for advanced bodyweight workouts

  • Wow..

  • Hi hi! Have you considered the maximus muscle 247 workout (google it)? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my sister gained a lot of muscle with it.

  • The title is slightly misleading. I assumed it meant a workout for the core muscles.

  • hey guys, for great fre advice on training add my facebook page: jon patterson personal trainer page

  • 1st exercise is press ups with bells... surely it'd make it harder if you kept in the eccentric part of the press..... so maybe even try the eccentric motion for at least 2 seconds (for muscular endurance this is) and then explode upwards on the conccetric part. Just a suggestion?

  • Thank you, kerolo! All these people making rude and disrespectful comments about how thin he is are simply ignorant. The guy is ripped, but he is modest and isn't wearing tight clothes to show off his body. This guy is awesome. I'm with KEROLO. I'm 48, 5' 8" tall, 145 pounds, and I'm in better shape and have more stamina than most people half my age. That's not bragging...that is just a fact. I used to weigh 190 pounds of solid muscle and could barely tie my shoes! LOL.

  • I have to laugh at all the haters saying this guy doesn't know anything because he's skinny. I recently switched to bodyweight/kettlebell training and I feel great. This type of training makes you functionally fit. Who wants to be huge, yet not be able to do 15 pullups? Not me. I'm 51 years old, 6 feet tall, 183 lbs, feel great, and my stamina is through the roof. Read Pavel's or Paul "Coach" Wade's thoughts on the disconnect between bodybuilding and fitness, and you'll get it.

  • @kerolo Couldn't agree w/you more. I do kettlebell & suspension training & i much prefer functional bodyweight training over the typical stuff. I've gotten stronger, leaner, & am 31 but in the best shape i've ever been in in my life. Keep it up!

  • One thing I love is what people view as their maximum. With Press ups doing maximum im so physically exhausted that I have to have at least 60 seconds rest if im going to attempt a decent number of pull ups straight after. When it comes to body weight exercises you really separate the men from the boys. People mock this guy for being small but what he is doing is far better than 99% of gym goers.

  • This guy is skinny as fooooook alallalalala aXD

  • If you get tired, strap on a 30KG weighted vest and do one more.......

  • Cool exercises..

  • most fit cancer patient

  • @dimebag4550 Genius

  • how dose he no somuch wen hes not even big haha

  • It looks like 4 of those 5 are very tricep heavy exercises. I'm not firing out 20 pull-ups on a good day and definitely not directly after maxing pushups. Shouldn't a quick circuit (especially with maxing out) offer a more varied muscle group focus?

  • @xxoxxredbullxxoxx I dare you to learn English then. :p

  • hjey man how many pounds does thaht dumbell wieght? the dumbell which u were doing pushups on.

  • shouldn't a workout coach be ripped.........?

  • @xxoxxredbullxxoxx then could you tell what you do better?

  • If you want to make a core workout you don't have to make these kind of exercises. I'd suggest planks, side planks and more planks. The bird dog, wiper and bridge exercises are also very effective and should be implemented to achieve an overall core workout - though planks are, in my opinion, the most important exercises. The video is more effective if you are looking for a circuit workout, which is a great way to increase push ups and other bodyweight exercises - as long as you train hard.

  • This guy doesn't know

    Shit

  • LOL! "Dont go HERE!..Go all the way down" 1:17

  • first you need some food, then hire a trainer...

  • Great workout bro! I'm going to be using it. Thanks.

  • Nice rotation but im not always positive about your leg positions, but keep it up nice videos thank you!

  • that's more like a V not an L

  • good stuff dude!

  • quick workout for me - my maximum reps was about 1/2.....

    Jan

  • abs? core workout? this is a great workout, but it has nothing to do with abs.

  • did that shit backwards

  • That's not a core workout xD

  • this isnt focused on core strength.

  • wtf i know ur tired but showing us the way u pull mmmm not nice.. pull up i believe should be straight up and down motion.. no leg jerking

  • show off!!

  • @cankicker18 Not everyone is juice-monkey like you probably are! ahahahaaa

  • thank you yelkaim1, great help for home ex

  • BLA-BLA-BLA.....

  • not its 7:57 am , i was watching your vids 2 hours again...and even if i replay the video.., I`M NOT BORED,maan i love you.

  • dude,, how you DARE to dare people??.. haha LOL

  • then how come his body sucks cockkk :)

  • these are extremely easy workouts.

  • MAXIMUM REPS ! this guy is pretty cool.

  • make it more tougher yuri, TWO LEGS UP!

  • damn those were nice pushup that going to hard since my muscles are in different spots(on my arm nothing immature).

  • Your one fit guy!

  • thats the only way i can do pushups with dumbells

  • great form!!!

  • @paolo27th Basically, yeah.

  • Great!!

  • why is this guy so painfully thin?

  • @thepete2003 because he is fit. In a survival world situation, a big bulky guy would die while this type of guy will live.

  • too much talking! Limit your vocals baldy

  • @umaykhan It's an instructional video.

  • any type of pull-ups, you keep your body nd legs str8 and no swinging like he's doing...and i think we all know that..he has a plan but when demonstrating get it right or ur audience will do wat your doing

  • his not even panting

    jesus!

  • this workout has nothing to do with "core" workout

its a good upper body workout but not a core workout

  • @bobbymarley26 core does not specifically mean abs.

  • hardcore literally hah

  • do u golf

  • now at 37 and with a personal trainer, I now get it. Core exercise IS NOT about getting huge muscles but it's about being in the best shape you can ever be in. Picture a guy who can bench press 200lbs. and that's all he does. He may beat you in that press but overall he will not be stronger then you. With core excercises your body experiences a whole set of motion that your muscles and body just are not used to. You constantly shock your body!!

  • @lfsr1544 Well actually free weight bench press requires a lot of stability, so you are using a lot more muscles than you actually think, thats why it is more difficult to do a free weight bench press than a fixed maching chest press

  • @lfsr1544 Read Starting Strenght and drop your personal trainer.

  • ur better off useing a SB for the shoulder press pushup. USe the SB to get to the pike position and do ur shoulder press push up from there. u will feel additional work in ur abs as well in ur shoulders

  • Comment removed

  • you cant do pullups

  • do you play soccer?

  • this is was really a good workout

  • when doing push ups using Dumbells shouldnt you keep your back straight

  • a trainer who cant do proper dead hang pull ups. classy

  • you're not supposed to thrust with your legs when you pull up. you worked nothing there

  • not intended for the faint hearted lmao

  • by the time you are able to do this workout at all you will look amazing :)

  • gz m8 u arer very good!!!!

  • he's a fucking machine

he's not even a bit puffed after doing like 10 pushups and 5 chinups and running around in between them and stuff

    o_O

  • very cool workout!

  • this guy is awesome

  • "when you get tired, do one more". i live by that quote

  • @Pielover461 i say do two or three more because everyone only does one more. one is just not original enough :P

  • @Pielover461 and one more again!

  • Thanks

  • advanced?

  • Anyone with common sense knows that you don't need big muscles to be strong, the 3rd strongest guy in my college has probably about, AND I SWEAR 3% fat and very skinny, he has a strong core and can push some guy into the air with a single push. And lastly this guy could knock out a guy probbly twice his weight, you can just tell that he has a lot of stamina and is incredibely fast (look at some of his other vids) because he isnt some bulky steroid freak.

  • @bobmonk92

LoL, you had to try 5 times to make the comment right and deleted the others, what are you, a retard?

  • @bbbbbb222222, dude what are you on about? I posted this once I click on the post button 5 times because it said error the other 4 times but it must still have posted it and then deleted afterwards, secondly im not sad enough to come on youtube to call people retards and notice that they had posted something 5 times and then even BOTHER commenting on it.

  • @bobmonk92 Strenght depends on muscular, neural development and leverage. A short guy with little muscle but a very high level of neural development with out-strenght a lanky muscle bound guy.

  • First, this guy is in great shape, maybe 5% body fat and strong as hell. Second, body types vary. You maximize what you have. Bruce Lee was not what you'd consider a "big man", but his feats of strength were extraordinary. Third, this routine is not easy. You are in constant motion. It takes strength, stability and stamina to perform. It's sad that some people have to disparage others to boost their own self esteem.

  • Who in their right mind would do anything this GEEK told them to do. Do you seriously want to look like this?

  • that's a very riggidy pull up bar...lol

  • i actually do a similar routine it works..trust me..im not a big man but im stronger than people twice my size..NO WEIGHTS im 5'9 ( with hightops) 170lbs

  • that's big. lol i'm 5'10 and 135 lbs lol

  • He talks like he has ADHD, but love his workouts!

  • @mayavlim i have add and it makes me fun! and fuckin crazy..lol no jk

  • I think that routine would put a lot of these people out... i have been body building for many yrs and most wieghtlifters have no functional strength. This will give u functinal and strength. I loved it and did the push ups and pull ups..30 push ups and 12 pullups in 30sec not bad for a GIRL

  • 42 reps in 30 seconds... that doesn't sound possible... well I couldn't do it so im gonna say its impossible :P

  • @1bflobil actually that is normal for a girl...

  • @1bflobil Lol at a body builder complaining weightlifters have no functional strenght!

  • haah yuck think u are the 1 that needs to be training hard

  • no offense, but I was kinda expecting more and different. Keep up the decent work :)

  • u have horrible form, u should show ppl how 2 do these exercises properly instead of rushing and half assin it, if ppl did these workouts like u just did ppl could hurt themselves

  • this guy has good form...what the hell are you looking at? looks pretty slow paced enough for normal "ppl" wha are you a retard?

  • can be "advanced" workout but i don't see any muscles.

  • this isnt very advanced

  • r u a personal trainer, a teacher??what r u?

  • he tells you within the first 5 seconds... try to pay attention

  • good workout man, this is a Marine grade workout.

  • yea these look alright

  • MAX REPS HAHA ... FOOL

  • Thanks Yuri.

  • amateur at best... this is a really good workout but not a core workout.

I challenge PT's out there to really define what a core exercise is; your Rectus Abdominis (six pack) is not the 'core muscle'

  • He puts out good work outs. He just talks way too much.

  • not really. u gotta remember he's teaching beginners as well.

  • Your Transverse Abdominis (deep "abs") is part of your core. as well as Erector Spinae (spinal muscles) . there are a bunch of small muscles that can be considered part of your core, Basically your core is your muscular base, it's what you need to strengthen to actually progress in exercising without injury.

  • Wtf man. U dont go around and call ppl that.

  • funny though

  • pull ups work wonders for your abs

  • As an intermediate based workout...this seems ok ish

For "advanced workouts" check out Ross Enamaits Sessions........Spartan Lvl 10

  • gyal pickney workout

  • Ok I don't think you should show people the wrong way to work out. Almost all your work outs are how people can get hurt plus it is not the right way to do them. You should watch some of scooby1961's videos and ask him for help showing the right way how to teach work outs. I am just being honest.

  • You said pull ups but you were doing chin ups.

  • maximum the most you can do!!! how many pull ups could he do? about 8 i reckon cos he looked tired after 6

  • he did 5 not 6 even

  • never trust a guy smaller than moby

  • This workout is actually pretty good. And it is very tough if u do the exercises with a slow tempo.

  • For those of you saying this is nothing to do with core its because even in the video description he says "upper body workout!

"... the title stating 'Core' is because its a great/important workout that'll get your upper body working quickly.

  • I love the overuse of the term 'core'. They basically the muscles below the pecs and above the they. Both front and back. So pull-ups do engage your back muscles and push-ups your front. Don't think of it as just your abs.

If you do a standing chest press or pull, you're 'engaging your core'. Same with squats especially overhead

  • CHICKEN LEGS LOL

  • thats what I was thinking lol

but lets give him some credit ...lol

  • he is acting like tony horton

  • these are not even close enough for a medium trainer --- u might wanna check out " Beach body's P90X or shaun T " they are extreme - but very quick result - ur gonna drain like HELL after their workouts

  • I agree. All his exercises were very good, im just saying fr the serious body builder they may not be the best, as you need to target (or focus on) one group of muscles at a time to get bigger. Core workouts should be on a separate day perhaps after a rest day. If you have a major back workout on monday and then want to work your core on tuesday, you wont be able to work your core as hard because your back and arms will be fatigued from the day before. See what im getting at?

  • to trossy111: Are you kidding? You have to recruit your core on every exercise he's doing. Feel someone's abs when they are doing push-ups and pull-ups. You are recruiting muscles in your abdomen and lower back to stabilize your spine throughout the loaded motion. I think the point of this video is to show that you are strengthening your core more with compound exercises than a silly crunch or leg raise.

  • trossy111 is correct.. recruiting and working the core directly are two different things..these are not for those looking for direct impact...

  • There are more efficient exercises to recruit your core muscles. Pullups are mainly for lats and biceps. If your focusing on your core, you dont want to be working your back at the same time if you have a strict workout schedule. Excercises like saxon bends and woodchoppers are better.

  • I agree with that. Woodchops are very effective tool for your core, but even they recruit muscles in your arms and back. I'm pretty sure this was mistitled, anyway, since in the video itself calls it an "advanced upperbody workout." But you're gonna have a very hard/impossible time finding any effective back exercise that doesn't recruit your core for stability. Your core tendons are there so your spine doesn't snap when you do a bent over row. Do you at least agree with me on that point?

  • I like the workout but the problem is that the average gym rat could not do this because it would over train other muscle groups. However for someome that is only going to workout 3 times a week yeah perfect.

  • average gym rat cant even run for 15 min lol

    Lets face the truth lol

  • thats the truth man cross training is the key to practical strength, though being big as hell running isnt always needed and creatine slows me down haha still chicken legs

  • these are not core exercises

  • you are correct.. these are not core excercises..

  • esos no son complicados! miren los videos de gymnasticbodyes o algo asi estan aca en youtube, esos si son complicados y re completos!

  • I'm going to try that shoulder press push up tomorrow. Looks like it works, and it doesn't hurt to mix it up once in awhile.

  • this engages the core so of course it is a core exercise just cause this guy doesn't look like an "unfit" roid monster doesn't mean he doesn't know what he's doing. From what I can see he knows exactly what he's talking about. Kep up the good work.

  • i hate roid monsters

  • these aren't core exercises fyi

  • This dude looks like an anorexic spider. Somehow I can`t take him seriously.

  • ahahahahaha anorexic spider....good one

  • lols

  • if you cant take him seriously why dont you try his exercises? i bet you you will take im seriously after that.

  • "his exercises"? Wtf are you talking about? Did he invent pullups and pushups now?

I do this stuff every day! There`s nothing special about this vid. It`s a hard workout, of course, but just because because you go to failure at every set.

I could design a worout like that as well, eg. put your car in neutral, get behind it and push till failure, rest and repeat. There you go. Am I a conditioning guru now?

  • WAT-E-VAH

  • ouch

  • Man, how many exercises does this dude have? I'm writing all of them down on a notebook. I can't wait to try them!

  • yea hes not bad,im a qualified personal trainer myself and its easy to see this guy knows what he is talking bout.not my ideal workout but thats because i have different goals.

  • wow what does he way like a buck 20 soaking wet try a protien shake bud

  • i agree with jbone488, hes nto a fag like u guys who only wanna look disgustingly big

  • that pull up bar is shit

  • This workout sucks, too easy!

  • Does that apply to you or everyone else on the planet too?

  • you;re supposed to do till failure and then move onto the next excersise

come back and then tell me its hard

  • Cool - Moby!

  • I'm a trainer. have been for over 30 yrs and I'm also filled w/ muscle. This guy is great. I would bet millions that the negative commentors could not last 5 minutes w/ him.

Keep up the great work and thanks for the videos.

  • skinny

  • With all do respect Tony Horton will beat his ass

  • man, u are just AMAZING!!!!! :)))))
