to be more exact it's Ayumi Hamasaki from her album titled "I am..." the name of the song is "Evolution" and basically talks about seeing the world as it is for the first time and just dealing with all that is around you, and living for through each day at a time.

when boy hold hands with girl, its usually because they think of eachother as the *special* person. when people use that, they consider them to be lovers. dating is a believth of loving. in your insituation, you only hold hands with a special person, a person you really like. thats what im pointing out in .hack//sign.

or you misunderstood what im talking about, ill repeat myself again, holding hands and hugging like you see in .hack//sign, those kind of things. of course i seem those friendly hug but hugging emotionly like tsukasa and Subaru. and it also say later on that after Subaru realize that Tsukasa was a girl, she does not mind real life gender. if you know what that mean.
