saw this on TV in the UK back in the 80's on an all night Pink Floyd TV show.I think it was on channel 4 .I had this on VHS along with the Wall live from Berlin that included all the fuckups that were edited out later.
Very welcome to have a listen to AirwavesJoxfields Vegetable (Elephant ) Man with Joxfields tribute-to-David-Gilmour's-ca-1971-playing guitar at 1.59. If you make a visit; hope you enjoy it! Cheers!
I saw this first in 1970's, on Top of the Pops (or some other music programme), after coming in from the pub, I was very tight and I was mesmerised. I've never forgotten it and this is the first time I've seen it since then - fantastic. Ant thanks for posting it.
hi guys, it's worthwhile watching the Old Grey Whistle Test comments released on DVD coupla years ago, where the animation + music was first matched (rather well, tho not rhythmically :)
LP's played on live television needed some kinda footage & this film got on the hook (more proposed as far as I remember). Am sure Pink Floyd themselves also got a kickstart from it in that particular direction...
Wow - I've been looking for this for almost thirty years! I remember watching this at the Fantastic Animation Festival when I was a teenager- the music and the visuals have stayed with me since then. Thanks for posting!
Awesome. There's a stoner in my head that won't let me forget this great clip. Thanks to whoever invented the internet so someone could invent youtube so I could see this now.
I saw this in 1977. It was one of the first videos to air on MTV. I'd always thought the music was called French Windows. No one I know has ever heard of this. Glad to finally find it. Would love to have seen the Animation Festival mentioned.
I first saw this in 1977 (sophomore year of high school). It made a huge impression on me then, and has remained in the back of my mind all these years. I have never forgotten it.
I am now an animator myself, and this litte film has a lot to do with why.
OMG! You don't understand how flip'n excited I am right now! I grew UP watching this Animation festival on Beta! I still have it and want to watch it SOOOOO bad, but I have NO Beta machine!!!! I love ALL the shorts on this tape!!!!!
The Fantastic Animation Film Festival, I have it on VHS. First VHS tape I ever bought. I saw this at the movie theater in 1977 San Diego, It was awesome! I also have an original movie poster framed as well.

Was the animation festival the same one where Autobahn was featured? The year of production is the same and the animation style is quite similar.

I wonder if the video for "I Hear You Now" by Jon & Vangelis was at all inspired by this.
