The GG Shinobi: Stage 5 - Neo City (Part 1/2)

room at 5:37... that is a waste. You can flip and ninja star those guys with green as you come down on to each pillar.

Game Gear games were too hard. I hate mazes in games this tough. It hurts accesibility.

another good way to do the spikes level (the shiled enemies guarding columns one) is use green and double jump towards them and shoot stars during jump.

You have to adjust your jumps so the star gets them on the head whilst also having enough space to land back on the platform you just jumped from (takes ages) but after a while you get used to it.

This was how i did it cos i never had loads of ninjitsus on neo city like you do, blue ninjitsu is so much easier though

Man, the room where you have to tornado past the blocking guys was where my journeys ended when I was a kid. I hoarded ninjutsu but never used them, that's why.

Daaaaamn! I'm awash with nostalgia, man. The first time I got to this place, I was overwhelmed by the difficulty, I must have spent tons of batteries on this (I think the GG was powered by 6 batteries, before I bought the A/C unit to plug it into a regular socket).

The sense of accomplishment I got when I beat this at age 7 has yet to be matched. Wasn't easy. It's also the only Shinobi I finished at that age, the labyrinth in Revenge of Shinobi ALWAYS kicked my ass. The music still haunts me.

Hah, this is where the game was about to begin. The four "rescue" stages were only there to warm up. I remember I could do them all with the red only! Even though Neo City was ugly as sh!t compared to the previous levels it required a lot of skill to pass through.

WTF whirlwind with the blue Ninja now Sega exxagerated the Difficulty here. GG Games were meant to be played by a younger gamers thats just way too hard.

also in the first room just doublejump all the time

@ the tankboss ( 3:00 ) you could have jumped also on his arms and attack him...

and @ you could have used the green shinobi @ 5:40+ in the green room vs the staffmonks - doublejump+attack and you hit the head

but nice movie! i like your calm playstyle

Nice vid man. I probably logged hundreds of hours on this one. Never beat the last stage though. I would always go around in circles until I got tired and turned it off.
