Hey look I'm practicing this piece now ( I'm on grade 2 but I found the music so yeah lol) but I just want to double check where u start from is it the… hold on w8 a sec… the second D down from middle C on the left hand where u start or not? Ive seen so many vids I'm getting confuzzled!!!
I just want to congratulate you. It just so happens that I'm practicing this song a lot know. (I don't know what for.) It's a really great piece, very fun, and like I said, I just want to congratulate you on this terrific rendition of Mozart's fine melodies.
I bet half the idiots that critiqued this couldn't play Mary Had a Little Lamb, much less put a video of themselves playing piano on YouTube. I thought this was excellent. The emotion was obvious and I love your interpretation of it.
At 1:03 after the octave A in the right hand and the notes F A D in the left, that chord (Right hand - B flat octave/Left Hand - E G C#) should be really quiet, not loud, its in the music, it gives the song more of a dramatic feeling... Other than that GREAT job :)
I actually liked all the slowing down and speeding up, it gave the song more dramatization and emotion.
1:15 it should be BAAM!!! and should come a little bit later than what you did there. Also, 1:38 you should use stacatto on both hands and play the first note out of each triplet loud.
ok,. im gonna give you advice now: the beginning could possibly be a little bit slower, @ 0:41 you could be a little faster but it should be way slower than the beginning. Very good on the middle part until 1:02 the E should be a stacaato-ish E.
@ 1:15, i know that you are trying to make the audience feel like its exciting but there is really no need to go faster. I HOPE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND MY OPINION IN YOUR BEAUTIFUL WORK, THOUGH. @ 1:25 no need to go faster!! at 1:39 don't go faster!!!
erm...im sorry i dont like this interpretation at all. your tempo is toooo sloww/ too fast in the wrong places - dont take adagio so literally. also, its too heavy, you need to be more graceful. my opinion.
meh, ok. forte is not played from the top, its played touching the key, and pushing through, atleast for mozart. more feel, tempo was perfect. just watch the fortes.
The only compaint I have is that you (and other pianists) play the parts (before the scales and rolls) at moderato speed when the speed is still adagio. There is no reason to speed up until the presto seciton.
I mean it is a good idea and gives contrast, but to rewrite the original markings is disrespectful to the composer.
wow that is really lovely. just tried playing the piece myself before hearing this and outerly loved this recital. Pity its just a recording, would sound much better live :(
very good, I like that you take the beggining faster than most.
When you go from the fast 32nd notes to the A minor with the fermatad whole rest (i think its fermatad*) don't be afraid to take more time with the rest for greater contrarst. And great job with the chromatic scale.
Very good job, I remember playing this when I was like 12, loved it. One of my favorite songs I ever played at a piano recital. I needed the sheet music though... :P
You might be surprised Zach but I've actually heard a lot of Mozart's work, and you did a wonderful rendition of this piece. Good show! Oh and by the way did you do this at the middle-school or something? Or maybe the high-school I can't tell.
Wonderful expression, leaning to the Romantic, but quite appropriate. You are in control of this expression, as you are for the entirety of your preformance. It is also apparrant that you take this seriously, and were well prepared. "...who could ask for anything more". Great job!
slowwwwww

Thanks Caitlin. This is a wonderful piece of music. Mozart was amazing, and so far ahead of his time. Keep working and have fun with the music.

omguanyin its supposed to be fast and really loud
tiffanyisonXD 2 years ago
@tiffanyisonXD It's not supposed to be really loud. There are a lot of crescendos and decrescendos, but most of the dynamic markings are piano.
