What a wonderful little guy Marnie is! I'm pretty new to the world of parrots, but absolutely loving learning so much about these magnificent creatures. I've mostly spent time with large birds, but am enjoying these little guys too :-)

From your videos you have a couple of feather-pickers, the African Grey and one of your cockatoos. Have you been able to stop the feather picking? Are they OK? Sorry but I'd just like to know that they're all right.

@fraublucher yes, the cockatoo Sassy is still a picker and has been for many years!! You can go to Marnie's website listed under his video to find out more about her. I wish it was an easy problem to solve, but I love them regardless of how they look!!!!

@fraublucher Oh, I'm sure you do! They're all great birds! I've contemplated buying a hand-fed parrot species but often worry about stuff like that. From what I understand once they start feather picking/mutilation it's hard to ever get them to stop. My fear is that my attention will wane years down the road and I will not give a bird enough stimulation. It looks like having multiple birds keeps them pretty alert and occupied as your birds seem very happy. Love your videos!

Whooo! Cute Cute Cute Cute Cute Cute! I just found this bird - I've been watching Marnie's videos for the last day now. What a doll. I never saw a parrot like this before and don't know a lot about them, but I do know a beautifully cared for, well socialized and happy pet when I see one. Congrats!

i have a cockatiel and since i was little my favorite animals have been birds. i love my bird. she is amazing and loves me so much. i am sooo jealous of all ur birds. thats exactly how i'd like my house to be. i would spend alllll day with them. as soon as i start working from home i think ill bring home a few. got any tips on which birds get along and which do not? or is it a matter of raising them together from babies? u seem like a wonderful mommy to them :)

My IR would LOVE to practice talking to himself until he's "perfected" his speech..he'd hold his little foot up in front of his face and talk to it. They are the most amazing talkers for a smaller bird...and the most fun bird to own! I've got a Jenday, and she says a few words, but they're not talkers....THEY'RE SCREAMERS! I miss my Ringneck!

@chesawoo thank you for your advise :) i actually found a homeopathic remedy so she's been calmer. Her cage is in the living room where she is free to walk around and be able to see people. I've been wanting to get her toys just haven't had much time.. cuz i work and go to school now.. but she's been surprisingly well behaved all week and i treat her for that :) i always make time to be with her its just i wish she can be with someone that had MORE time u kno. or a bird friend lol

@LegalSubstance00 the most simple things can be toys to these birds, like clothes pegs, plastic bottle caps, pen lids, anything they can hold with their feet and chew on, haha... they like to throw them around too..it's called birdy fetch, only they trow it and YOU fetch it, lol!

Adorable! I love all these videos! Marnie is so cute and so are all his friends. I have to deal with animal abuse cases so it's nice to see owners that actually take care of and love all their animals. :) It's easy to tell they are all happy and healthy. @avianmaster yes she does, started when I got the umbrella. Sassy is a happy healthy very much loved little girl. It gets better at different times of the year. My husband is a veterinarian and we've tried different meds...but we love her no matter what, she's beautiful to us!!

I'm surprised at how few comments ask about the cockatoo's feathers. Usually a lot of people on this site freak out when they perceive the slightest bit of discomfort.

@Corrector1 I think when parrot owners that have had birds for almost 20 years, as I have, they undestand the feather picking issue is not a simple one to figure out. We have tried medicine along with other things but compromising her quality of life is something I can't do. It started when I got the male umbrella cockatoo 13 years ago, but they are the best of buds!!
