What I did was use the energy block to push the woman onto the plank, catapulting the Viking onto the sleigh thing. I then swung the sleigh over to the ship, cutting the bonds just in time. The sleigh fell onto the ship too, but hey, i beat the level.

Really? The same thing happened to me, but I didn't advance.... For some reason it didn't count it.

Ah, i think I know what happened. The "sled" landed right side up on the ship. I managed to flip the sled on its side, dumping the viking onto the ship. Apparently it only counts if the viking is touching the deck of the ship itself.

Strange.. I had a completely different solution, but I guess I over complicated :/ I used the"energy" ice block as a motor for the "sleigh" Oh well, at least mine looked cooler :D

there is a better way to do it... cut those large pieces of ice before you release de lil man in that piece of rock then when its almost reachin the boat just cut the right arm of it and it will be tossed away to the rock and then fall in the boat
