  • First time I have seen this video but it explains a lot, to me, seeing Siobhan and Cecile together.

  • such a pure voice...lilting to my ears....love her version of this "heartfelt"song of all mothers

  • The Skin sensitization YOUR VIDEO WITH THE MUSIC and moving and CONGRATULATIONS FILL THE SPIRIT IS WONDERFUL

  • Sang it a little fast, she could do it a little slower, good voice and not bad otherwise.

  • @whitesky0009 Thanks for the feedback. Siobhan usually sings this much slower - especially now she accompanies herself on harp. This was a new arrangement by Cecile Corbel. Maybe you will like this one better - v=Qb-MtSx24ww ? Check the rest of the sharbas channel to hear how good Siobhan's voice really is :)

  • Thanks for the beautiful song.

  • I think it's to fast,,,

  • Beautiful, diolch!

  • beautiful

  • needs to be slower with more feeling, this is no good.

  • Maybe you will like this one better - v=Qb-MtSx24ww ? Check the rest of the sharbas channel.

  • I think it is beautiful don't listen to the jerks.

  • Thanks :)

  • Maybe you prefer this version Siobhan sang a year later? It's more traditional

    watch?v=Qb-MtSx24ww

  • u have such a beautiful voice...great attempt at such a difficult song...

  • stimme is ganz ok, aber sie singt viel zu schnell

  • Diese Version ist schnell, aber es ist ein schönes Arrangement. Siobhan singt sie sehr viel langsamer, wenn mit Harfe oder Klavier. Sehen Sie hier - v=Qb-MtSx24ww (youtube)

  • WOW

    Beeautiful voice!

And for your age is especially awesome

  • You have an excellant voice, thanks for sharing.

    Di awn. Diolch.

  • Difficult to sing, very well done.

  • That's very lovely. And at last a lady singing it as it should be. I'm tired of hearing choirboys singing about breastfeeding their children!

  • Yes indeed!!!

  • wow

  • Very beatiful song, very nice voice !

  • wow...how great your voice is!

  • You have a great voice, and this song is really beautiful!

  • This is Siobhan speaking. Hello! ;P

Thank you all for the comments but please refrain from swearing. Yes the camera wasn't a very good one and we didn't have a sound technician and we ended up setting it all up for ourselves in about 20 minutes so under those circumstances I think the sound came out ok. I AM actually Welsh though it's not my first language. My dad is Welsh and my mum is Irish. Again, thank you for the comments. O.o

  • this is absolutly beautiful

im doing this song for my vocal exam and im so glad i found this

    truely beautiful (:

  • Wow! The girl singing has a great voice. Cecile's harp is also very pretty.

  • i love your voice =] are you welsh originally? This is my favourite welsh song ever! Da Iawn =] Llongyfarchiadau! You sang it beautifully xxx

  • i thought you did really well. Some people do it in a large choir and some do it in a pub. i, for one, think it's done much better to capture the true spirit and meaning of the piece to do it as you did. you looked a little nervous at first but that's just fine. you did great and I'd encourage you to continue in the future. congrats!

  • my choir's doing this piece this year and I love it! you really did a good job singing it.

  • wow, I like it, congratulations.

  • Very well done. Bravo!

  • PRETTY VOICEE

  • Wow, that was really well done. Great job Siobhan!

    P.S - Your beautiful :)

  • A little bit to fast.

    But very nice voice. ;-)

  • wow beautiful voice (: my school choir sang the choral version of this for one of our performances and i was the solo (: being an asian it was quite hard to remember the lyrics. anyway beautiful job (:

  • the singer is soo beautiful :)

nice song of choice for a great voice :)

  • Shwmae, I'm an American who nevertheless has Welsh, Scottish, and some Irish ancestry and is a bit obssessed with foreign languages. I very much enjoyed this and would like to offer fy llongifarchiadau (my congratulations) on this song. I also must admit that I like your name with its Irish and Welsh side-by-side.

    Chris

  • Annwyl Fns. Owen,

Mae eich caneuon yn hyfryd iawn! Mae Suo Gan wedi bod un o'm caneuon hof ers blynyddoedd. Dych chi'n gwybod roedd y gan hon yn y ffilm "Empire of the Sun" gan Steven Spielberg?

    Cantwr Cymreig

  • Your Welsh is much better than mine! My dad understands Welsh, but could you give a translation of the above for the non-Welsh speaking viewers :)

    Siobhan

  • Cyfiethiad / translation:

    Dear Ms. Owen:

Your songs are truly lovely! Suo Gan (Lullaby) has been one of my favorite songs for years. Did you know that this song was used in the film "Empire of the Sun" by Steven Spielberg?

    Welsh Singer

  • Thanks 'Welsh Singer'. That was a quick response! Yes, I've seen snips of 'Empire of the Sun' with Suo Gan been sung. Very beautiful and moving.

    Siobhan

  • The piano player annoyed me. Her perfect voice can stand alone.

  • Actually, there was no piano. Just a harp and guitar.

  • It is more a question of balance: the harp is too noisy comparing to the singer. It should have been checked, but probably was'nt.

(un petit bonjour en passant à Cécile Corbel dont j'admire la musique)

  • twat ! it's in a fucking pub not a concert hall ! fucking know all idiot ...fuck off and try and impress soemone else.

  • that was to hanterkrant......

  • Why are you so agressive?

  • I am fed up with people trying to impress us with their skills and knowledge. This is in a PUB not a recording studio ! It is recorded on a mobile phone or cheap camera. I could criticise the lighting, wardrobe, video, makeup etc but it's an Irish girl singing a WELSH song in WELSH in a pub NOT the Albert Hall...and they do a brilliant job of it ! Do you catch my drift ?

  • OK. Sorry, I am not here to impress anybody, just to express my feelings (preferably without using the word "fuck"). Do you understand what I wrote in my sentence in French? It is not far from your own feeling.

Anyway, I definitely think that the sound is not well balanced. At the moment you have 2 micros, you can make a balance between them, in a pub as well as in a concert hall. It is not a great job, and it helps so much the musicians!

  • her voice is so beautiful

  • Beautiful voice,so innocent and pure. Reminds me of Charlotte Church in her begginings
