Well to be honest, Pakistani Media is far from being Pakistani and also same distance from being Journalists.Proper term to use is CIRCUS. And if a journalist has been assigned to attend a press conference by a English speaking coach, at least he should be speaking English which practically is our National Language.

I remember this match.

It was after an Asia Cup loss to Sri Lanka at home which meant that Pakistan was virtually out of the tournament.

And the media was likely to eat him up during the presser so he started this drama

Very inept coach.

It's fair enough for Lawson to lay some ground rules for his conferences. I've seen footage of other subcontinental conferences, and the press are mental. They don't care about news, they just care about headlines. However, Lawson was wrong to demand the reporter speak better English. He's a Pakistani journalist, talking to the Pakistan coach. Lawson should have had an interpreter so the journos could speak in their own language.

Geoff Lawson is a complete dickhead. I'm Australian and he is more of an arrogant, smug type whose character isn't atypical here. That said, the Pakistani cricketing system is an utter embarrassment. It's always the coach's fault and there has never been team unity as long as I can remember; they have always been a bunch of individuals who, when things go wrong, blame the coach and replace him. Choosing Lawson in the first place was an utterly retarded move.
