@TheseNuts86 they said in the first movie, if you die in the matrix you die in the real world too. It was during Neos training, after the fight with Morph, when he came back his mouth was bleeding, and asked this question. I guess Kid somehow got himself out before the impact, this is also mentioned in the second movie. Neo says: I didn't help you, you helped yourself, or something like that.
