I don't like the octaves. I don't think it gets anywhere near the original. Just my opinion. Full disclosure - I love "Black Star", "Far Beyond the Sun" etc, so I ain't hatin' on Yngwie. I love "Ripper" on other tracks, too.

But this falls flat to me. The original is just too much to overcome.

Titles wrong, this is just Ripper, not Dio. I love this cover. I think Ripper's voice is great for this song, and whilst the solo's aren't as memorable as Randy's, the sheer shredfest that they've become fits this cover so well.
