In my personal opinion, Gandalf is one of the best characters ever conceived of in the history of fiction. There is such a strong resemblance in him and the reality of fearlessness, spiritual growth and non-physical things, which make him the perfect model of a consciousness who has taken the same path as Gandalf in the books.. How many times did he save Frodo's ass and prevent the ring from being discovered by Sauron? And he took the ring and kept it safe when Frodo was incapacitated by Her. Sam and Merry are my favorite Hobbits.
In Theodins Hall where this evel Snake calls him 'Gandalf the Grey' and he throws down the grey coat and suddenly everythings light and white and he rises his staph. Epic.

Gandalf and Picard.... lets see, probably they would talk about the sense of life, and afterwords they would save Middle Earth and teh Alpha Quadrant together :)

Very good video. But the hero of this story for me is Sam. But i like Gandalf too.
And the thing that's bad in the two towers is the Peter Jackson's vision of the helms deep battle. In the books Gandalf brought just soldiers not Eomers horse army. Still the movie is good but the book is better.

Sorry to have to correct you but Gandalf is far stronger than the Witch King. An extended scene in the trilogy suggests otherwise but Gandalf is a Maiar (like Sauron - they are basically immortal demi-gods) The witch king is a powerful sorcerer but cannot be compared to Olorin (Gandalf's name in Valinor)
ALthough I agree Gandalf is the more powerful, you forget that Gandalf was stripped of much of his power when sent to middle earth, and Sauron gave the Witch King some of his power in the Pelenor fields
Lol, I do not forget it. Regardless of that though - the Witch King is still not as powerful as Gandalf; Grey or White. Gandalf fought all nine nazgul at Weathertop and defeated them. He also says that only Sauron is stronger than he is, and doesn't even see the Witch King as a threat.

Sorry to have to correct you but Gandalf is far stronger than the Witch King. An extended scene in the trilogy suggests otherwise but Gandalf is a Maiar (like Sauron - they are basically immortal demi-gods) The witch king is a powerful sorcerer but cannot be compared to Olorin (Gandalf's name in Valinor)

ALthough I agree Gandalf is the more powerful, you forget that Gandalf was stripped of much of his power when sent to middle earth, and Sauron gave the Witch King some of his power in the Pelenor fields

Lol, I do not forget it. Regardless of that though - the Witch King is still not as powerful as Gandalf; Grey or White. Gandalf fought all nine nazgul at Weathertop and defeated them. He also says that only Sauron is stronger than he is, and doesn't even see the Witch King as a threat.

@lotrfan0123 yeah but in the rotk book when denethor or what ever his name is asks gandalf ,"then it would seem like there is a foe to match you " or something i have not read it in a while and gandalf says it may be so, but i have to go back to the book

I have to say lotrfan0123, you did an amazing job doing this phenomenal tribute to Gandalf. I am a major Tolkien fan, I love his works. And Olorin (Gandalf) is the best character he created! Once again, good job and keep it up! Olorin forever!

I can't get enough of your videos. :D I love how you show all the things Gandalf is, it really fills you with amazement while watching it! I really also like it when people incorporate the villains into a hero's video, and then it makes it have more depth and the hero greater! :D Oh yes, and I liked how after you did the flashes at 0:27, how you slowed down the clip of Gandalf the White Rider. Love that!

The best video about Gandalf I've seen thus far! You showed different images of Gandalf and I can't say whom I like more - Olorin the Maia or just Gandalf, the Grey Pilgrim :) Music is great, as usual ;) And thank you for including one of my favourite scenes into the video (Gandalf at Helm's Deep)
