  • Our district turned the six we have in to band buses, 9/1/04 law said we couldn't transport students in them do to the welds around the bow and window frame. I had a big smile on my face when we pulled these off route, I felt like I was driving a 1957 pickup truck and we had 1995 models but I don't think they ever updated there buses. But carpenter has gone out of business and ford no longer makes chassis for school buses.... Thank god. I like the thomas buses and ic buses.

  • Love the sound of the air brakes thinking about geting a job as a school bus driver since i like school buses so much and obssesed with them lol

  • love the ford air brakes :)

  • My dad use to drive a 1995 Thomas Ford bus. Love the sound of Ford Air brakes.

  • those buses are pretty fast we have a 98 ford thomas cummins/airbrake at545 as a spare

  • I love the sound of the brakes!

  • How much did the districtpay for the bus

  • gotta love those ford airbrakes!

  • i know you drove the bus in this video but could you do another video of this bus where start then drive

  • I thought there was a law that you can only have buses in service for 5-10 years?

  • Actually in Massachusetts yo can have a bus in service for an ulimited time as long as the chassis was not built before 1977. But furthermore unfortunately, Massachusett no longer allows operation of Carpenter School Buses Since 9/1/04 due to the cracked roof weld connections but if they are fixed and inspected by te RMV and Dept of Public utilities, then it may return to service

  • nice bus
