Not even using ur mana gems? get good use ur mana gems to bomb them on ur own gems to transmute them into Mana gems and get infinite mana.... and drop gems in the Waves you should at least drop 3-4gems already.. your video is useless if you cant get the score going with it ..even w/o Dual Gem Mastery using single gems is stupid ...Only lvl3 gems and 2lvl4 wow ur bad bad bad..i should demo myself and show u how bad you are kiddo

omg - I can't believe how many mistakes you made ... you should put orange gems only in the traps, because with each hit you'll get lots of extra mana, increase your mana pool from time to time (key 4 or M) and build/combine higher gems so that no monster (guardian included) will reach your tower

skill configuration at least lv 7 focus, whatever it takes to get two 2 and 3 level gem masterys. you dont actually need dual gem but it helps.

Very interesting, I never knew the final boss could go all the way around, i basically just made duel level 4 gems. As he passed I just gem bombed him and I won with seconds. Nice job nonetheless.

Go for Dual-Gem spec. Make sure you have atleast four towers with dual-gems wtih high grade, which you place pretty low, at key positions. If you get poison-gems, make traps. If you get shock-gems, make traps as close to your towers as possible.

I won on the first try, the Arcane Guardian didn't even get to my wizard tower once.

i could be wrong (im only beginner at this game) but if u add more points on 2x component bonus u could get tons more damage on gems; i did this at lv25 with i think lv5 2x component bonus and the boss was dead long b4 it reached the wizard tower

It's smart to build more towers then just 1, at higher grades the dmg increas slower then before. So, unless you use super gemming, you can better have many towers of a few grades lower!

manafarms are just using red/orange dual gems in traps to leech tons of mana from waves after angering. there is a long thread on kongregate that describes how to do this in detail.

Interesting strategy.

I did it on level 18 very differently. I didn't realize you could banish the guardian so I killed him before he reached the wizard tower. That was very, very hard!

My strat was similar to Gemynd's - multiple cyan traps (about 4 I think). and tons of high-level towers. I only had one high-level cyan gem for the traps so I would rotate it to the next trap as soon as the guardian passed it.

Boy this would have been easier if I'd have known you could banish him...

Why did you build another Grade-3 gem to blow up the second lock instead of fusing the gems you had? Also, why didn't you cast Mana Pool even once? Does the Arcane Guardian cost more mana to banish when you have more mana?

I just finished this level before watching this. Nice work, at such an early level!

I don't have a recording programme so I can't show you but the way I did it was with a whole lot of cyan towers and traps with cyan in them. When the boss passes by the traps he's literally shocked there for at least 20 seconds before he moves off the trap. It's a fun strat, just thought I'd share =)

banishment is a passive skill. each monster has a cost, in mana, to banish it back to the start. as long as you have enough mana to banish the monsters that leak... you won't die. the banishment skill makes it cost less mana to banish monsters that leak. so the key is, make sure to keep mana in reserve so that you can leak/banish monsters.

Props for doing it at 17, I played it safe and went back before this level to get up more, beat it on my second try at lvl 20... your technique unusual. I prefer to use at least a few mana spells in the beginning / restart a number of times until I can get multiple poisons going by the 10th wave, you just gun for it quick :) nice though

2 things. 1. this strategy works... so for a walkthrough, that's really all that matters. 2. check when i made this... the DAY the game came out. aka, there was not weeks of time for people to discuss proper strategies and what to do. it was just me. so if you don't want to use my strat, don't. but it worked for me.

Not bad, but i would recommend to use double-gem towers (much better than single, and even better when you use the upgrade on later levels) and the mana pool spell.

If you do so , you can beat the guardian on the first wave and get even more score.

Double gems suck, completely. In the first on Dual Gem Mastery Help a lot, and that's the only way that they would be good. There are a FEW that with out it will work EX: Poison and Slow

You have no idea where you talking about, the double gmes has the highest damg output. Also the range and firing speed are way better (unless you upgrade your gems like grade 12...).

Without Dual gems, you will never earn a very high score (1mill+ exp).

This is a pretty poorly done walkthrough. You need to focus on the mana pool spell as much as possible, not only does it give you 5% more mana per kill each upgrade, but it also gives you 5% more points, and 1000(or more) maximum mana. Keep trying though :).

how is it "poor"? i show a clear strategy that effectively beats the Guardian at a fairly low wizard level of 17. i'm sure there are other strategies that will work, possibly some better than mine... but that does not mean that mine is poor. most people i've spoken with beat this level at a much higher level. if you do not like this strategy, then don't use it and make your own video showing your superior strategy.

I beat this in 1 try, and I just redid it in one try. Well, here's my strategy:

In between the 3rd and 4th horizontal monster pathways place 3-6 towers and load them up with 3rd ranked gems. And as you progress through the level keep upgrading into 4s and maybe even get some 5s. The minions were very easy to kill, and the guardian took 2 run throughs (I upgraded mana to 3000).

Second time, with the same strategy and new skills, I was able to get a tier 7 and destroy the guardian in no time.

what level were you? i know many people spent a ton of extra time leveling up before the first boss. whereas all i did was keep messing with my strategy. took me a bunch of tries to get the right strategy. also, i had no idea the minions would come out from the side and whatnot... so the 1st attempt had no gems on the bottom half at all.

\As soon as I saw the minions come form the side, I built a tower and moved my grade 5 dual gem further down. Nailed enough of them to survive two getting past. I then killed them to get enough mana to survive the guardian reaching the tower. (My armor skill was almost maxed) and then moved the gem back to help finish it. I had a grade 4 (I think) poison trap.
