@jeremycorbell Simple, The ladder is leading Washington to enlightenment. Look at the Isemham Altarpiece 2nd view on the right wing, You will see Jesus going toward the sky. This was the Renaissance Sign of being enlightened. This piece was created during the Neoclassical movement I believe and its a fact they looked at the Renaissance for guidance and used their iconography while using the Masonic Iconography. The piece you are referring to is most likely a portal to heaven.

Even the part that the piece I am referring to is "most likely a portal to heaven" in the sense that a Jacob's Ladder is what "angels of God were ascending and descending on" as it says in the book of Genesis. My postulation comes from the discrepancy of one particular part of the image. The object in question, portrayed in EVERY other Masonic depiction that I have found, is vastly different. Can you find an object like this one?

@jeremycorbell Ghent Altarpiece By the Van Eyck Brothers. Look at the Adoration of the Lamb panel. Take out the dove et voila looks exactly like that object. The artist knew his renaissance iconography and built from that while adding in the Masonic imagery. There is no UFO, Aliens or any of the sort here. If you don't believe me you are welcome to take a High res copy of this Lithograph to an Art Historian at your local University and see what they have to say.

The objects look nothing alike to me, even if I mentally take out the dove as you suggest. I really do appreciate your perspective, but feel you are missing my point. Look at "TYPICAL" Masonic imagery, characterizing the trinity depicted, and find me something similar. That would prove your point.

Even the Jacob's Ladder has special Masonic meaning if you look closely at it. None of this has to do with my question. My question has to do with the specific image at the TOP of the Jacob's Ladder. i think the representation of that "light" part above the ladder represents more of an interdimensinal aspect than a UFO, and since the origin of the picture is masonic, it most probably symbolizes channelling demonic entities.

In the original HI-RES version... the point you are talking about appears to be a scratch in the lithograph, but I could be wrong. I think it is quite obvious that there is a large dark object on top of the Jacob's Ladder with green, yellow and red lights shooting out from it. I find it very interesting. The UFO subject is VERY open to interpretation. There seems to be a heavy military aspect to many of the sightings and experiences that people have. these days, I always try to think how a non-believer hardcore skeptic would view presented evidence. I don't do it for them, but it always helps to strengthen an argument if you have as little speculation as possible.
